Ball Names
« on: September 06, 2008, 08:58:29 AM »
Hey folks, I remember doing this in the past and wanted to see what you guys/gals have to offer up now. I think this is a great topic to help see how creative we can be.

What kind of names can you come up with for a bowling ball? Try to be creative, and definately unique.

About 10-15 years ago, I thought a cool name would be Black Widow. D'oh, looks like I missed my opportunity there.

Has anyone ever named a ball the SLAM before? If not, I think that would be a good name.

Then you could expand to the GRAND SLAM, the SLAM DUNK, the SLAM/R, etc.

AMF had a ball called the Slam and followed it up with the MJ Slam (for Michael Jordan). Both were pretty good balls.

I had suggested Mercury Rising and Rising Tide a while back, at Training Camp I think. I am sure just about everything to do with Rising has been tossed around.

Viagra, used before you need the rising

I'll have to look, but I used to have a list with several hundred names on it ( I was BORED! )

Two that haven't been used ( to my knowledge ) are the Kamikazee and the Samurai.

I'll try to assimilate some that would work with the TRACK name.

I think there has already been a:

Conquest - Ebonite
Clue - Don't remember who made it but it had a big question mark on the side.

43. Mjollnir ( The name of Thor's magical hammer )

This would be a great name for a new Hammer ball (would probably have to purchase rights from Marvel).
