Super Freak??
« on: April 18, 2004, 06:46:50 AM »
I have one and I was wandering if someone could tell me what the layout is designed to do on what condition??   The pin is under ring finger and drilled through a 1/4 of the pin. CG is kicked way out. The mass bias is 6 to 7 inches right of thumb. Tell me what you think. Thanks. Kyle

Hey Kyle,

Not sure what your surface is on the Super but with your pap of only 3, this should make the pin relatively close and that would create very early and stable roll, especially with the mb out that far as well.

The Animal will get down the lane normally a little easier then the SuperF and can have a much stronger backend reaction by nature also.  Of course it can be drilled to roll very early as well but I'm describing what the ball differences are by manufacturer definition.  Hope this helps...

Hey Kyle,

Sorry to sound redundant bud but this is pretty much the difference I had between my Super and my Animal now.  I pesonally feel though that the Animal is much more flexible and useable on todays conditions because it can have a much stronger backend yet still grab in heavy oil if drilled to do so.  Hope this helps...

These 2 balls have many differences.

As Rick stated, the Animal is going to want to get down the lane further, and will have a stronger breakpoint than the SF. If you have them at identical surfaces, the Animal will start of sooner (layout has to be taken into consideration there as well). Between the 2 of these, the difference I see most (other than the stronger breakpoint) is that the Animal hits much harder--giving more messenger pins.
