Leading in ball sales is not necessarily the determining factor for success. Profit margin is the determining factor for success. Simply put, if Track makes 100,000 of a ball and sells all of them they will make money. If Storm makes 500,000 of a ball and sells 300,000 they sold more balls but lost money in the process.
Marketing plays a big part in ball sales. Most bowlers don't take the time to do research to determine what may be the best ball for them. If it looks good on the shop wall, in the magazine, someone shot 300 with it in your center or won a tournament with it on TV sales will increase for that ball.
Bottom line, I have had a lot of success with Track equipment in the 12 years I've been bowling. The people in this forum have been instrumental in helping me with ball choices over the past 4 years and I appreciate every one of them.
Keep up the good work everyone. I read other forums and I still think there's more Knowledgeable novice bowlers here than any other forum.
