Track Threat
« on: April 04, 2005, 07:01:48 AM »
Anything in the current lineup comparable to the threat?  Current RG user but I did have a threat before I started with the RG equip and I still use it today but 16lbs get really heavy by the third game.

Thanks

Hey slick,

My Heat drilled weak (1.5x1) does remind me of the old Threat to some degree.  Hope this helps some...

I thought Mica gave a ball similar characteristics of a pearl ball (increase length, more backend movement).

The Threat was a particle as well (particle pearl) so the Heat might be a good choice as I believe the Threat was supposed to be similar to the original Heat anyways.

I just picked up a Threat in 16lbs. and I love it, wouldn't get rid of it for the world...however mine isn't very flippy, so I think my description of reaction would be a little skewed as I don't see the jump on the backend that most others do...that being the case, perhaps look at the RS-1 from RG if you wanna stay with RG (though it'd be flippier than the way MY Threat is set up...) or the Arsenal Angular would also be a little flippy as well.
