I do bowl Saturdays as well, and I can't wait!!!!!! I've been bowling deprived because first year general engineering is a kick in the nuts. I have class from 8:30am to 6:30pm and I don't get home til 8pm. I look forward to getting my average up to 190 this year though!

From what I know, Rick is in Cali also, Vernon (fbm) is from New York, Clint, Carl (EX), & Steve (Rev-o) are in Ohio, SteveAustin is in Texas I believe, Dino (icetink) is reporting from Canada. etc.

I'm +116 for the first 2 weeks, and surprisingly, my average is now 188!!! nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo .... how is that possible? Two weeks ago my average was 172, then last week (I'm not sure what it was; I thought it was 172), and now it's 188!--------------------

Talk about NIGTHMARE ON LANES 39&40.....OMG!!! First, I had thumb pitch changed in my FAZ, only to learn the ball cracked... YES, I SAID CRACKED! while the driller was hammering the new sleeve/insert! So you know I'm jinxed from that point right? ... LMAO He give me a NIB Storm as a replacement. Not exactly what I wanted, but hell, I'm not going to complain.
I go to bowl league only to learn there's a birthday party on 16 of the 20 lanes! The lane man (btw, he bowls in our league) quickly grabs the oil machine and throws "something" down. Needless to say, he's notoriously known for oiling his pair a lot differently (more about this later). I am proud to announce, though I threw the ball well (I've been struggling for a while), my scores did not reflect. Not only did my scores suck, but nearly everyones scores sucked! I'm talking about 200+ avg. bowlers struggling to shoot 550!!! I was (LMAO) third highest series on my pair (mixed 4 man team) with a 475!!!. Meanwhile on the lane man's pair, someone shot 288, 254 and 216!
My scores were shot with a different ball as I didn't carry any other Track ball with me (I expected to get my FAZ). Therefore I should be pardoned this week...
There's a bounty on the lane man!!!!

I think everyone goes on a hot streak here and there. He also says he's been practicing. I would give him the benefit of the doubt. I have seen 160+ bowlers get hot for the next 2-3 weeks. I guess that confidence just builds up and you give yourself the impression that you are improving. I think that's awesome.

There are a couple of funny situations regarding last night too.
First of all, I had no idea what balls to bring to league. I had been bringing my Mutant Mania and Arsenal Angular but was getting bored throwing them so I wanted to bring something different. Finally decided on the 5.0 and the Angular.
Second, prior to leaving the house I was looking at my score sheets from my 3 previous 700's. I have them hanging on the fridge to remind me that I can do it and to motivate me to shoot more. Well, after looking at them and then looking at the dates thrown, I realized I hadnt thrown one in a while. I said to myself, I am going to shoot 700 tonight. And, well, I did.
I had one open the entire night. The 4th frame of game one. I whiffed my first attempt at a 10 pin. After that it was lights out!!

Thanks Rick. I have to enjoy this while I can because once I do get rerated, its could be difficult to put myself atop the leader board like I have been. BTW, does anyone know when we have to submit our rerated averages. Is it after 21 games or are we waiting til the November tournament??
Another quick question, we are currently using the winter league high average right?? Not summer league averages. They dont book summer averages and some of us dont bowl summer leagues. Let me know, because my summer average was higher than my winter league average.

What we did last year which was pretty fair is to go ahead and use the avg on your league sheet that nite as it changes (like Icetink did, I did too, just happened to the same) so it makes it more fair as that makes it more difficult to improve from week to week.

Bowler257628, I have a question. Was we supposed to use last years book average? If so, mine is 200. Check it out on bowl.com (ABC #1934-110). But I will use the 220 average for this year since we are already 3 weeks into the tourney. Also, do or will we change our averages after 21 games or will it stay that way throughout the tourney? Sorry for all the lame, late answers, but I haven't been online much and I just get on to post my scores and go. So tell me what you can tell me. Thanks for the information.......you can pm me the answers.

My 4am reply.. lol If your league allows you to establish an average after 12 games you take that average.. But we were using last years average until you established a new one.. Sorry for any confusion six....

Just to much stuff going on. I've been on the "wagon" for 4 months now. Had a little bit of a drinking problem, but am fighting it. Also, little Rev is having some minor surgery on next tuesday. It scares me to death when the doctor tells you they have to knock out your soon to be 3yr old to perform the procedure!
Week 2 (Oct.09) - Avg. 249 = 747 - shot: 267 + 232 + 257 total: 756 = +9
Balls used:Arsenal Reactive
Week 3 (oct 16) - Avg. 249 = 747 - shot: 256 + 235 + 268 = 759 +12
Ball Used : Arsenal Reactive
Week 4 (oct 23) -avg. 249 = 747 - shot: 278 + 267 + 290 = 835 +88
ball used : Arsenal Reactive
Had the front 9 the first 2 games, left and 8 pin on both first balls in the 10th frame. Threw the last 11 the 3rd game, left a 10 pin. Whiffed the 8 pin in the 10th frame of game 2 out of FRUSTRATION!!! Darn 8 pins anyway. "only" shot 247 in game 4. :-)
