Title: Track vs. Rival
Post by: MC on November 05, 2007, 08:49:43 AM
Which of the new Track balls would be the equivilent to the Rival? Or which could be put with the Rival for a nice 1-2 punch?

Thanks,
Mike

Most simliar....probably the Temper. Ofcourse you would have to alter the surface a bit.

The Kinetic and the Rival would make a good 1-2. The rival is smoother overall than the Kinetic.....they have a totally different look on the lanes.

I have both the Rival and the Kinetic.  You can see the layouts in my profile.  the Kinetic has a pretty standard layout, with the pin 4 1/2" from my PAP, I believe, while the Rival is drilled to be much earlier, with the pin about 1 1/2" from my PAP.  It makes a GREAT 1-2 punch.  The Kinetic is a MONSTER on the THS, but I have also had success with it on more difficult ABT tourney patterns.  The Rival is earlier and very smooth, while the Kinetic gets down further and then explodes off the spot.  A Great pair IMO!
