Suprised No one else has mentioned or questioned.....
« on: March 22, 2004, 11:07:42 PM »
As in the thread with the pics of the sheer and the untamed........which variation of the Morpheous is going to be used in the Untamed?

BUT---what this thread is about is the "Mega Smooth" factory finish they have listed for the Sheer and the Untamed. Is this going to be a new polish that Track is coming out with? I know I have not heard of this before.

Any ideas?

Maybe Rick can chime in on this one.

I'm not sure either, but track sells "clean n' smooth" From the track site-
Clean ’N Smooth
Clean ’N Smooth is designed to restore the 1500 smooth finish to your particle or reactive resin ball. This mild abrasive will remove small scratches and re-activate particle coverstocks and the addition of a cleaning agent will tackify the ball to give you that out of the box reaction. Dunno if that's what its comming out of the box with...

I haven't heard anything but I haven't asked either.  Ironically I was questioning my wife about this last night (she wants a new ball and we were discussing the new Track stuff).  It appears as though which ever Morpheus they use it's been modified because it has the lowest RG of any of the Morpheus cores with a high diff.  It's probably to negate the reactive shell and get it to start up earlier.

Maybe the Mega Smooth is just Clean 'N Smooth applied at the factory?  A little earlier than Clean 'N Sheen (like the Triple Threat) but not as early as 1500 grit wet sand???

Rick, heard anything???

Nope, not yet guys.  It would be interesting to know but not important enough at this juncture since we wouldn't have access to them, kind of like teasing ourselves...  I'm going to wait till time draws a little closer to the release date.  No sense in bothering them with questions now..they're busy enough as is...

Rick....I know what you are saying (atleast on the BALL end of these posts), but you know I cannot stand it. I am far too impatient for this. I want one now.

Hey Ex,

Yes I do know how you feel.  We've talked about this before...  Actually, the Untamed does intrigue me quite a bit, you and I have Nationals coming up and I'm thinking this may be the ball for the Reno.

Chapman could probably throw a tennis ball and still beat me.....240 AVG!
I liked him until I found out he wasn't human...

Hey Rick.....none of the big crankers from around here did very well in Reno. The guys (2 are in the top 10 in singles I believe) that did well play straight up the boards and do not over hit the ball. They said playing 20 to 16 down the lane was what did it for them. one guy shot 720s and other shot 740s.

I guess I better learn how to throw the ball slow, and straight before June.

AND, that is my take on the Untamed as well, a good ball for Reno. I can only take 4 balls with me, so I have the excuse of "having the wrong balls with me" incase I bowl really bad.
