Looking for Advise
« on: March 13, 2011, 09:05:53 AM »
Hey guys,

Just want to say that after being out of bowling for about 5 years that being back around the game is awesome and i am so happy that i was able to get back into the sport.

I am currently averaging 212 on a THS

have med-high revs with a high track on the ball. throw the ball med/hard in speed.

I have a

Prodigy that is shined up
505A out of the box
X-factor Deuce out of the box with only about 45 games on it
Triple X factor with around 100 games on it
Track Hex

I am looking for something to handle the lanes once they break down and become scorched.

I generally throw the Prodigy to start the night out, and it gets down the lane and reads well for me to gauge the rest of the night.

My 505A will be the next out if the Prodigy is a little to jumpy

I get a similar reaction out of the two with the exception that the 505A is about 5 boards less in hook, and gets down the lane further.

I dont know drilling terms very well so that is out the window.

Any Help would be great, initially my thought was the 505C or  300C or the victory Road

Thanks,

Mike

Victory road is going to be stronger than the 505A......505C is great but good luck finding one......I have  red Backlash that does great on fried lanes......

Actually, I was going to suggest: 300C, Midnight Vibe, or Blue Backlash. Personally, the ball that seems to get the most play for me is the Blue Backlash as it's very predictable through the front and back. From people I know and trust the Midnight Vibe is pure gold if you drill it correctly for those days when the backends are flying.

Okay thanks, now questions about drillings. would you drill the same way that my 505a is layed out? or should i use a weaker drilling?

I think that the layout on my 505A is their number 2 drilling to go long and snap...
