Track Havoc, specs question....
« on: August 15, 2005, 07:40:52 AM »
I can get a Track Havoc, which I've been looking for, at a reasonable price.
Pin is 4-5 inches, TW 3-1/4 oz.
Would I be limited as to layout options with this pin distance?

TIA,

No not really.  It would be better to use a layout with the pin above the fingers with that pin-out distance, but if you were to use a pin down layout, you are going to need to use an extra hole.  With that much top eight, it is likely you will need an extra hole anyways.

A drill with anything pin under the finger line is pretty uch out of the question unless you swing the mass bias all the way out to your VAL, which would make you need a large balance hole due to the high top weight!

Thanks!

DukeHarding: What type of look are you hoping to achieve with the Havoc? I believe that the best drilling for this ball given the specs you have with this ball would be a pin above fingers (probably right above bridge), as I think in box condition this ball is one of the best for reading the lanes well and having a continous arc without overeaction off the drier portions of the lanes.

Matt,

I'm going to an all Track arsenal. I have 2 Animals, and the Slash, I can get this ball out the door for about $70.00. I've been looking for a cheap Havoc...I guess this is it. I just joined ABT, and am only shooting 1 Sport league and ABT this year.

Thanks
