Slash Layout Question
« on: July 10, 2005, 02:59:06 PM »
About to buy a Slash, just have a question about layout.  I would say I am a power tweener, right handed, 18-19 MPH, high track, high revs.  Not really sure of PAP numbers or such...

I want to have the Slash fit between my Ebonite Ice (drilled pin above bridge and CG in grip center) and my Ebonite Werewolf, the red not the clear (pin below ring finger and CG kicked out about an inch w/ extra hole.)

I was thinking to drill the Slash with pin below the bridge and kick the CG out about 3/4 of an inch and no extra hole, therefore making it future USBC legal.  Any thoughts if this would probably fit well between my other two balls.

BigB,

For its time the Werewolf was strong, but by today's standards it is not quite an oiler. The Slash and the Werewolf are going to be pretty close in overall reaction.

The drilling difference you mentioned for the Slash should give you a little seperation. You may end up having to adjust the Slash's surface to have it fall below the Were Wolf.

Agree with Ex....it will probably be very close, if not the Slash actually moving a little more than the Werewolf due to all of its use.

Hey BigB,

The layout sounds fine but like the guys say, I also feel the Slash is pretty close to handling the same amount of oil as the Werewolf but with a little different look.  If my memory serves me right, the Werewolf wanted to roll early and fairly even.  The Slash with this layout will push down the lane farther and finish later for you in comparison.  Hope this helps some...
