Equation to Delta One how do they stack up.
« on: October 06, 2006, 03:22:30 AM »
I have been given a the option to trade my Delta One of an Equation.  I was wondering how these 2 balls would compare to one another. Also how would you compare the Mean Machine and the Strike Machine to the Delta One.

Thanks

Alan

PS here is a link to the layout on my Delta One.

Alan,

As for the Equation and Delta, while they do share identical covers (Goo LS) the Equation is pearl while the Delta is a dull solid. Delta starts up much earlier and has a smoother backend, while the Equation can have a wicked backend due to the pearl polished cover and the dense nugget in the core.

Actually, I can see where this would make a decent 2 ball combo....

As for the Mean, Strike, and Delta, while I do not have a Strike, the Mean and Delta are very similar. I have not had them beside each other, but I would venture to say due to the 800 or 900 grit cover the Delta came at, it would start sooner and have less backend than the Mean. I believe the Strike will be the longest of the 3 and have the most backend potential out of the 3.

All of these assumptions are done with factory covers...

I have all the balls your asking about. I feel the Strike and Equation are much more ball than the Delta 1. If your on the right condition the Strike and Equation hit a ton more than the Delta. My personal feeling is the Strike is more ball with more options than the MM.
