I dont like the guy. I dont think he is all that great. I think he is just really lucky with pin action and carry. have fun.

This is the most I have ever seen the pro's use top shelf balls.  The Robo seems to be a good ball; it's just ugly.

How someone can say the Scroggins is not good is rediculous.  His pin action and carry are because of the way he htorws the ball.  You can't use the argument that it's because of the ball.  Everyone else has the same equipment.  I think people just don't like this guy because he's ugly.  That is pathetic.  They also don't like how he throws the ball?  I like the way he throws it.  He strikes a lot what is there not to like?

I ask that question too.. he has been scoring week after week.  the only thing I can say is that the tv pair looks to be breaking down very fast and he just is not matching up fast enough. Does that mean he is not good? No not at all...He bowls well all week to get to the show.  How many of the other guys on tour would love to be making the show like Scroggie is? ALL of them.... So can we stop the Scroggie bashing......

From watching the telecast he was using a Machine on one lane and the RoboRule on the other later in the game... But what do I know, I'm a Lane #1 guy. But I do know most balls from their look.

Thanks OG1,

I know Mike can bowl or he would not be on the telecast, but from what I see his choices of balls with the drillings he picked just didn't cut it on TV day. I know it isn't the balls, maybe his choice of drillings for them just aren't matching up. He needs something with a bit more punch. But maybe with more punch they tend to dive on the nose for him...who knows.

Its not bashing, 5 telecast and no titles and with his style it makes for bad t.v. Obiously the guy can bowl, he just needs to find a way to bring it on Sundays.

FYI, Scroggs won the USBC Masters (a major) this season...So it's not like he hasn't won this season...

I will admit that he is not one of my favorite bowlers. I do feel he is getting bashed by people and they are not justified in doing so.

He laughs on the way to the bank, which is where all of these guys want to be going.

I was at the tour stop all week(my house).  Scroggins used the MACHINE on the show before turning to the ROBORULE late in the match. During match play he used 3 balls...delta, machine and the roborule.  During the pre show practice session he was nailin the pocket with the machine and carrying everything.  Then when the show started...it just disappeared.  He even stated during the show...why don't my balls react on shows.  From my observance, during the practice he played a more direct line (angling toward the pocket) and during the show he started goin more down the lane (straight down 10 trying to let the ball do more of the work.) I was sittin right behind him braggin about track power before the telecast and then after the show I had to swallow my words . oh well, stuff happens. I'm still a TRACK fan....whoever bowls it.  

P.S.  Walter Ray also threw the MACHINE all week too!!!   Can't wait to get this ball.  I was very impressed with it.

But didn't he use a Brunswick ball on TV for the Masters?

yeah i did...every time he slowed the speed he went more direct. He did get tentative after the first shot.  Looked real comfortable before the first shot (maybe over confident bowling against a rookie in the opening round on TV) and then afterwards...what did I do to cause that reaction???  Even later on in the match when he was tryin to recover and swithced to to ROBO, 1st time usin he went slower and more direct and struck.  next time (maybe to confident again?) wnet down 10 and didn't strike.  Just my opinion.
