The Rising, Day 3
« on: July 01, 2008, 09:45:34 AM »
Here goes, day 3 of my new Rising!

Today marks the 21st game i've been throwing this ball. I've been giving it HIGH matinence.. cleaning with my oil absorbing towel every shot, and cleaning it before i'm ready to put it in my bag.. so there shouldn't be any loss in reaction, right? Well, there isn't.

This ball is rolling phenominal! It seems like it's actually hooking more now! Haha.. Today, I started off throwing from 25 out to about 8-9 board, and it was coming in real hard. As the lanes transitioned, I ended around 33 out to the same board (8-9). The Rising still gives me great length with a nice little backend jump off the dry.

I'm really loving this ball. Thanks again to Carl on the layout, Chris Moyer for drilling it (he's really not as bad as everyone thinks he is), and Track for, obviously, producing this ball! I feel some high scores coming from this ball in league.

Also, i've read some terrible things about this ball before. It dies after 20 games, it's too condition specifac, yada yada.. But really, as long as you have a decent amount of oil, this is a good ball to play deep 3rd or 4th arrow.

Thanks for reading again! Tomorrow is league. I can't wait.

Yes, and it feels great to be back! I'll be throwing all Track equipment for high performance, and i'll be throwing all Hammer for low performance (unless of course, Track starts making some WEAK balls haha).

Next on my list, an Emerald Vibe.. Next, Tantrum.. Next (maybe) Kinetic Energy.. Then, lastly, an UpRising.

My list keeps getting bigger and bigger for some reason.

Im so glad people are brainwashed to thinking that if they buy a new ball they will carry everything. And its even funnier when im carrying with my 15 year old ball and they're going flat ten.

Ken, the UpRising sure looks promising. I was thinking about buying one of them to compliment my Rising when it's too strong (which is 75% of the time. LOL). I'm sure it'd be one heck of an investment.

The Rising is definitely a piece that benefits from a "break-in" period.  Over 50 games on mine, and still loving it!

Jason only 50 Games buddy, come on. Here you do the match, every game other then 7 from Day it was released, till end of January. That would be monday, tuesday, thursday, friday(6 games at camelot, just for practice), saturday when I subbed so 3 times, sunday when I subbed we will say o 8 times. So you guys do the math just for the normal leagues of Monday, Tuesday and Thursday then subtract 7 = 101 just for league, and a ruff guess of 200 with sunday subbing, saturday subbing, tournaments, and just practice. This is just the first Suggested drilled. I am not even counting the games at state, or just messing around at west side to see what I can do with the ball. However you know what it still has fight in her. The only reason I got another suggested was because I wanted one with a fresh 4000 finish, and one with a sanded finish for heavier stuff. Out of my current track stuff from the Ebonite plant the ball with the lowest number of games on it is the Temper. That is because I bowl on old wood about 99.998% of the time. So it just rolls to fast for me.
