Updated Vids
« on: June 22, 2005, 01:15:09 PM »
I updated the Blue, Desert and regular Heat videos and added an Aggressive video (a few people asked for this one).  The angle is much better but the lighting is worse.  Sorry about that but hopefully you can get an idea of the ball reactions compared to each other.  Note how much farther right I am with the Desert compared to the regular Heat (on this pattern it was 8 because of the backend).

I wanted to note that this Aggressive is still going strong since early February!  I've only touched it twice by hand with Clean N Dull.  No sanding, polishing, nada. It still provides the read, recovery and hit as day one.  It's easily my favorite ball and has at least a 100 games on it.  The PEAK particles are really holding up.

Backend on that Desert is something else. The Aggressive I like especially, thanks for putting up another vid.

Great Vids. Did anyone else notice that the 3 pin was off on the rack for the Heat and the Blue Heat?

The Heat was hit about a month ago with Magic Shine and then Delayed Reaction (it was my weak piece when heading to TNBA Nations in Detroit).  The Desert Heat is box.  The Blue Heat was hit with a smidge of Clean N Sheen (very light pressure just to knock the roughness off).  The Arsenal has never been touched other than Clean N Dull twice.

I think the Aggressive is a great ball to try that experiment with (so much that it may become a main arsenal).  I've never had a ball cover as wide a range of conditions and surfaces as this one and it's just one ball. I have another one at home that will definately be drilled soon.

Great video. It really gives a good idea of the separation of each ball. Are they all drilled the same? What lay out do you have on the dry heat?

Check out the first post in this thread under "Layouts"  My axis is 5 3/8 over.  3 are drilled the same (pin 5 1/2) and the Desert is 4".

Chappy,
Have you tried a Slash? I got some feedback from Ex and a couple of other posters. I was curious as to your thoughts on the Slash.

BigMike,

The Slash is a great ball.  It fits right in between the Aggressive and the Heats for me.  I've always been a fan of solids and the Slash is a very versatile ball.  It gives a good midlane read with a strong but not snappy finish.
