Uprising SE

I recieved an email today from distributor about this ball. Its a pearl uprising sport edition. supposed to combat tougher conditions.

If anyone out there is worried about the scores being too high, try duckpin!!


The ball looks more like the old Flare, in terms of color. It is good looking, IMHO. I cant wait to see this thing in my hand.

Looks like the old Synergy ETS to me.

Hope it gets down the lane further but keeps the back end of the UpRising. Still would love to see a stronger solid cover on that core but I will definitely take this right now.

I can see how the photos can make it look that way but it is more of a red tinted copper. It really does look like a Flare.

how do those three Risings stand to each other... in what line and on what conditions are those three supposed to work...

the Uprisin I haven't seen yet and now I read the
Pearl version... the SE is stronger than the UP?

Diff on the 15 is .056 per the video. I imagine it is close to that.

I can use both the Rising and UpRising for heavy oil.  I have both with the same layout and the with the Rising I have to stand generally 3 boards further left than I do with the UpRising.

I saw the video that you saw.  And the Rising SE appears to much stronger than the UpRising.  I'd love to see a comparison to the Rising so I can get a better look on how strong the staffers claim this ball will be.  If what they claim is true, then the order should be Rising-SE, Rising, UpRising.  But that is also based on them having the same layout and same surface.

I really don't see the pearl being stronger than both the solids, or either. It might have more backend reaction, but once you get on some soup the Uprising and Rising will take over from there.

Hopefully within a week or so, some of us staffers can give you some real world comparisons.
Just based on what I see from core numbers and coverstock... The coverstock is Generation 2 with performance pearl (pearlized version of the UpRising cover). The UpRising cover retained energy better then the Rising cover. Add the pearl to it and it should retain energy even better. 2.49 RG falls right in between the Rising and UpRising (2.5 and 2.48 respectively). The diff is fairly comparible to the UpRising and the mass bias strength was pushed up just a touch. My guess based on these things is that I am going to see a little bit greater ease through the fronts with the SE which will allow you to play deeper angles and get greater entry angle. I can't use my UpRising or Rising from deeper than 20 at the arrows because I don't generate enough tilt to get the ball to save up and corner hard enough. I expect this ball, for me, to be the logical ball switch after the UpRising starts to burn up a little when the heads go and the bakcends are not clean enough to move in and boom it. I expect it to allow me to open up the lane more.
I also absolutely love strong cored pearl balls with RG ratings around 2.5 so I expect to love this ball!

Although I didn't expect the next ball to be a pearl it should be a great addition. This is what I wanted when the UpRising was released. If you are right Louis this ball will fall right in line with my arsenal under the Complete NV and UpRising when I need to move deeper.

That has been my experience also and I haven't been able to find a goto ball without losing a couple of frames finding the new line.
I am hoping,like you,that the pearl will fill that spot.
Looking forward to your comments when you've had a chance to work with the SE.

Strangely, I've not been able to use it at all lately.  I think I'm killing the energy out of the ball.  My Kinetic Energy has been out hooking the Rising lately.
