Using Clean n Dull
« on: August 08, 2007, 03:35:45 AM »
Hey everybody, i was just wondering, i just picked pu some clean n dull. It says that i can use it with a rag and not have to use a scotch-brite pad. Will it still work ok or am i better off using it with the pad. Thanx.

Just use it with a rag, if you want to clean and keep the surface grit the same.

Only use scotch-brite if you want to change the surface.

some covers like my no mercy I find I have to lightly tuch up the surface with the desired grit abralon, scuff pad etc.other covers I find I just need to keep clean for the most part.so I think it's up to you for the most part.

Using Clean n Dull and a WHITE scotchbrite pad will not alter grit. Just do not apply much pressure as you clean it.

Using the scotchbrites instead of a rag cleans the ball much better.

I use a towel with C&D on the polished equipment and white scotch brite on the 4000/2000 surfaces. I use grey pad with C&D on anything lower than that.

Hey Scoot...With using Track Clean N Sheen to clean spare balls or urethane balls like a C300 Scout/R does the same principle apply as with using Clean N Dull, use a White Scotch-Brite pad or a rag?

Thanks scoot, i was looking for that video but putfile was down for me. I was just wondering because the bottle says i can either use one or the other. I used it with the green one because both balls are at 600 and it is awesome.

clean n Sheen is something completely different, it actually changes the surface of the ball, its not a cleaner

When cleaning with Power House Clean n Dull you can apply pressure if you want to alter the surface of the ball. If you are looking to keep the surface the same then apply little to NO pressure.

the process would remain the same using scotchbrite or abralon.
