The fallowing video is of carl and then me on the lanes. No big time stuff just us throws some of our latest additions to what we own. He tryed to play mostly the same line per ball. I tryed to give a slight differrent look per throw. Here is the video, I also have a ball on here that isnt track. I know, I know. (but hey it was a christmas gift)

i think he meant that the saga was the first non columbia/track ball for him in three years...Roto Grip is manufactured out of the Storm plant in Utah, but all of their cores and coverstocks are unique to Roto. The Saga is the third ball in the Epic series, and it features a pearl/solid hybrid cover and the fast-revving Maximus II core...

First to the guys who called us hacks and said we wouldnt ave anything on a flat shot, I am not sure what carl ave on our pba league but I know I have a 186 on that shot. So house hacks I think not.

The epic saga comes 1500 with polish. With the OOB finish it just went to long for me and recovered at to much of a angle. I took it down to 1000 abralon and it has a light coat of magic shine.
The Inertia.
The inertia is by far my most versital ball. As you can see in the video I was able to play it with a light swing out the dry, a really tight inside shot almost dead up 15 and then the big time swing shot that just killed the rack.

Saga
The path to the pocket I played with the saga was a big swing shot. It was the only ball I had that would hold that line. The shot I played with it was finish 34 with my feet. I then sent it from 22/20 out to 10 then 6 then 4. Each time I went deeper I added a little more speed. I tryed these lines with the Mean Machine, but when it got to the dry it just took off left. If you would like to see that PM me and I will email you those shots so you can see it hit the dry and snap hard. Also what I said about the saga was that the roto grip epic saga was the first non columbia/track made ball to make its way into my bag o tricks in 3 years.

I dont know if you guys noticed it but the saga being the only ball that was not track was killing the pocket. Yet if you watch the inertia video the almost dead straight up 15 shot I carry a 7-10 big time. I dont know what you guys call carry but when I throw a shot that I thought hit weak and I trip out the 7-10, that is carry to me.

I will say this though, me and carl did take some time to find shots with these balls. The only ball that wasnt practiced with was the saga. This was because I tryed those shots with the artil and the mm but they both hooked to much. The shot you see with the saga is my ideal line with it and the look to the pocket I get with it that I dont get with anything els. The Inertia doesnt count because of it being my benchmark ball.

Why don't you go troll some where else? Every time you post here, you bring nothing to the table. If you are so great, why don't you post a video so we can all see just how great you are. Stay out of the Track forum while the adults exchange information.

Scoot, on those that critized the tape you posted, ignore them and don't let them drag you down to their low level. It was a good and informative tape and I give you and Carl credit for posting the tape "as is" on a bowling condition that was far from perfect, rather than posting one on perfect conditions and having every ball being a perfect strike like most posters do. The lane conditions you guys bowled gave an honest evaluation of how different balls react on those less than perfect conditions.

Thank you everyone for viewing.

The purpose of this video is show the 3 balls I use the most. I have 3 Power Machines, but this one is the most useful and is the medium reaction of the 3.

The Phoenix is clearly the smoother, stronger rolling ball of the 3 I threw. This type of reaction is perfect for me to read a pattern with. I like smoother transitions from the oil to the dry....but also strong continuation through the pindeck. I will probably end up drilling atleast 1 more Phoenix....maybe 2. I am curious of the type of reaction I would get out of it with a longer pin to PAP layout (such as 5-5.5) and I also want to see what it would do with a leverage or earlier reving layout.

Ask Mark which of those balls has been the most consistant....better hitting and rolling.......and overall best scoring. You will be suprised at his answer.

Scoot I have a GP2 now and sometimes it seems to roll out. Will the Phoenix have a similar issue per your video. Should I go with the power machine for a different reaction. Basically will the GP2 and Phoenix have a similar reaction?

The GP2 has a much stronger coverstock than the Phoenix. Any ball will roll out if there is not enough oil for that ball to be used. Just look at the difference in reaction and hit when the Phoenix was kept in the oil.

Would the reaction of the Power Machine be different than the Phoenix and GP2?
I have been told the GP2 and Phoenix are arching type balls and the Power machine is a strong flip type ball.
I do not want my balls to have similar reaction in case I need different shots. Does it make sense to have different type reaction in your arsenal of balls.

IMO the gp2 doesnt just have one reaction. It will start up early and arc but then when it hits the pocket it has a backend burst of reaction. This is the only ball I have ever seen to look like it hooks twice no mater who throws it. I mean just look at my rule comparison video. When I play its ideal line you can see it start up really fast and then it looks to stop and roll even then it hits the backend and then it takes off once again. The gp2 IMHO is the one and only true flood ball. I never was able to use mine because I would never see enough oil. I even took it to our pba league on the shark pattern and it was even to strong when I kept it outside and in the oil. You will never see the reaction of a gp2 in any other ball. That is MCHO.

The GP2 and Phoenix are 2 very different type of balls. The Phoenix is reactive and the GP2 is dual particle. The GP2 will start up sooner and be a much better fit in heavier oil than the Phoenix.
The Power Machine is far different from the both of them. The Power Machine gets down the lane much further before starting up and finishing extremely hard through the pins. The Power Machine is a better fit when you have alot of friction down the lane.
Where the GP2 and the Phoenix are both "arcing" type balls....they are very different...and in my opinion both are worth having in an arsenal. The Phoenix based on my observations is a perfect benchmark type ball....first out of the bag type...to read a pattern with. The Phoenix will be far more forgiving in friction than the GP2.

Nice video guys! Of the bowling balls you threw I have the Mean Machine, Power Machine, Arsenal Artillery and Epic Saga. I have yet to have any luck with the Epic Saga. So far it's not much more than a boat anchor for me. But I'm still working on getting that ball, and all my Roto's to work. Still hopeful. As to the Track's.....The Mean Machine is one reason I've raised my average up to 195 this year, up five pins from last year. And I just started using the Power Machine. For me, add the Equation to the mix and I just don't see a better one, two, three combination out there at the moment. Also in my bag at the moment are the Machine, and Heat Blast, plus my Flaming T spare ball. I just don't see dry lanes at the moment or the Desert Heat would be in there. The Arsenal Artillery is a great ball but right now the Equation is replacing it in my bag. If I were going to Nationals my line up would be....Robo Rule, Mean Machine, Power Machine, Equation, Heat Blast and Flaming T. I just don't use the Machine much after getting the Equation. And I would try to figure out how to get my Desert Heat there...just in case...and maybe my Solution Power Plus Ex as well...that would be about as complete a line up as you could possibly need.

Didn't have alot of "punch" in the back-end. The first strikes were kind of light, and ugly haha. But yes, a strike is a strike, no doubt.
