Profile 6â€™6â€ 275 lbs
Hand span almost 6â€
I have a lot of revs and a low track.
I average around 202.
I bowl on a long pattern synthetic house shot (Heavy Oil)
I typically bowl inside (3rd arrow)

Iâ€™ve decided to try using track equipment. I just got an artillery reactive. I want to get two more balls to compliment the AR. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Bowl,

Since I have no idea about your PAP. I'm just guessing what I would purchase if I were new to Track as far as oil conditions demanded of me...Hope this helps!

Heavy: Robo Rule
Heavy to Medium: Rule Delta 1
Mediums: Machine or Arsenal Artillery
Medium with Carrydown: Solution Power Plus Solid
Broke Down Heads with Carrydown: Solution Power Plus EX
Dry: Desert Heat

I actually have all of these in my arsenal currently for each condition I encounter...last night I was using my Artillery all night from fresh to the end and shot 700+...GOO LS coverstock has always been a favorite of mine...hopefully Carl and Rick can give you their insight once they see this post...they are much more technical than I am...God Bless you and I hope this helps you out some!

Bowl,

Call me Michael...everybody used to call me Steve! LOL! Anyways, with that PAP...we are different by about a whole inch. Mine is 5 right and 1/2 an inch up...which makes me a Tweener..from what I'm told...

You track low, and like to throw hard and straight...I would think a Robo Rule with an aggressive layout that caters to your PAP correctly would work great for the slick stuff...How do you have the Artillery drilled and what kind of reaction shape do you get with it? Check out my thread where I compare the Robo, Delta, Machine, and Artillery playing 2 different lines and let me know what you think of the reactions I get and we can compare then!

I haven't gotten it drilled yet. I was going to get 3 balls, then determine the best way to drill all 3. Because my span is so wide, the balls I get are usually 3-4 pin outs. I typically like the pin under my ring finger with the mb somewhere to the right of my thumb.

As stated in other threads, MBs to the left of thumb basically kill the reaction or give VERY VERY tame reactions...Pin Below is what I figured you liked...layouts like that naturally have equipment hook in the heads and give a smooth arc to the pocket...here is the link to that comparison video, hopefully it'll help you some!

For equipment to go along with the Artillery I would suggest the Machine for above it. With a higher revrate the Machine could be an oil ball for you. Under the Artillery I would suggest the Desert Heat. The Desert Heat goes very long and moves smoothly off of the dry, it is perfect for drier conditions.

With the Machine above it and the Desert Heat below it the Artillery should be able to handle most of your medium conditions.

Hey bowl202, (Welcome to the Track forum)

I also like the Robo Rule or Machine for a step up from the Artillery. I'd also suggest either the Solution Power Plus EX or the Desert for drier conditions.

I will try and do a side by side vid tonite (if time permits) of my Machine to the Robo.

On the Robo/Machine, I'd go with a 4x3.75-4 mb with the pin about 2.5-3 inches above mid line (this will keep the pin under). This will grab because of suface but should help the ball push just a hair to offset some of your higher revs.

For the Solution EX/Desert, I'd go with a pin over bridge (layout might end up about 5.5-6x4.5 cg) with the pin being 4 inches above mid line or whatever you need since your span is very long. This is a simple layout that just helps the ball get downlane in the drier conditions and then let the backend take over. Hope this helps and feel free to ask about anything mentioned that isn't completely clear, we're here to help.
