Okay, here you go Legion members as I promised.

Mean Machine - shot was dryer then normal, did the vids late after league.  Oil line was about 12-13 for med balls and about 17 for the Mean.  Normal length of oil is still 42ft blended.  Between 5-10 was pretty good dry and blends in as you get deeper, you'll see.....enjoy and hope this helps some.

Mean Machine - 4 shots starting with a stroke, moving 5 boards left every shot
http://media.putfile.com/Mean-Machine-various

Very versatile....

Inertia - same thing....from stroke to more and more lift
http://media.putfile.com/Inertia

Nice length with the weak drill...

Machine - same thing....from stroke to more and more lift
http://media.putfile.com/Machine-various

All four balls - Mean, Inertia, Machine and Equation all thrown from the same line to show strengths.

Feel free to ask any questions....thanks.

On edit: I completely lost my head and forgot to give BIG PROPS and THANKS to nonamekevin again for doing the great camera work.  He came by to say hi and got stuck working for me...AGAIN!  Thanks Kevin...

Rick, nice vids. Thanks for the comparisons here.

Boy, I tell ya... The Machine and the Mean Machine just look really really good. Every time I see one, it makes me want them more and more, LOL!

They just look like they will fit my game so well!

Makes me have G.A.S.... Gear Acquisition Syndrome. I don't need more balls!!!

Rick thanks for the nice vids.

How much stronger would the inertia be with a stronger drill, ie MB @ 45 degrees. It looks to me with the drilling on the inertia you have, it has the same amount of hook as the equation, the equation just goes longer, and the inertia starts rolling sooner.

Like Dj says above, I also thought the same thing. An Inertia drilled with a stronger MB placement would be pretty scary. BTW, did you hit the Inertia with Polish? What is the surface OOB? I know it uses the Peak Particle coverstock right?

Thanks!

Very informative Yoda.  I'd like to see more of the Equation if anyone else has videos.  ONE REQUEST...try to be Rick's height or shorter...makes it easy to see the ballpath going down the lane!

I knew there had to be something little people were good at.

Again Rick...great vids, bud!  Keep em coming!

Thanks for the comments guys.

DJ/Ram, good question.  I'll probably have to get another one and find out.  I matched it up to my length drilled Machine, my other Machine is drilled at stack lev so I chose the weaker one to use to compare to the weaker drill of the Inertia.  The ball comes polished over Power Peak Particle.  Not sure of the grit underneath, maybe one of the other staffers can chime in.  Haven't talked to Del about this ball yet.

do you regret that drill on the Inertia?

Regret having a piece of Track equipment in my hands??  NEVER...  How could the thought even cross your mind??..lol

Actually guys, it's a great match up for me being that I'm slightly rev dominant.  I've already started plugging 2 more of my asyms to redrill.  My comfort zone now is more down and in vs circling the lane, not young anymore..  I grew up on lacquer so track and deep track is my forte.  Never was a good wall shooter and still am not.

Sorry K, our current line does look very good.  You can try my Mean and Equation next time you come by.

Hey Rick and FASTTRACKERS!

Great vids dude!

First and foremost, if any of you haven't heard me state in my other threads here recently...I would just like to state a comment about the Equation! WOW! What a great ball! I absolutely love this one, it is just completely sick guys! Until you've thrown one, you have no idea what you are missing!

Okay, I'm done! Back to Ricky's vids...

Rick I got one question...when you were playing really deep with all four, I noticed the Inertia roll out and the Equation actually make it back to the pocket alittle bit to leave the bucket...

What are your thoughts on how the Inertia and Equation are the same and different? Thanks! God Bless You All and have a great week!

Mike,

You bring up a good point but this is where having the "eye" comes in.  In actuality, the Inertia does not roll out, it "never" rolls up.  Definition of roll out is where a ball actually turns over and the weight block reaches its PSA (preferred spin axis) before hitting the pins.  In this case, the Inertia never reaches it's PSA, it's far from it, it's still skidding.

There is a difference but it can take some time for one to learn to see this.  The Equation might have sniffed a dry spot and reacted some off that but particle will not, they roll much smoother.

This goes back to the long thread about particle vs resin/reactive and understanding that particle can grab sooner but it does not react off friction like reactives do.

Take a look at my Inertia video lesson and you'll see that it takes the Inertia to encounter some friction (right of 10 board) to turn over and finish so keeping it in all the oil at 4th arrow does not allow it to turn over at all.

I can easily tell that the Inertia is stronger compared to the Equation.  It is only my weaker drill (and the shot) that makes them appear somewhat similar.
