Title: VooDoo....Part 2
Post by: srlunatic on November 01, 2005, 02:18:54 PM
Well I finally broke down and have a Desert Heat on the way. I had been using my Voodoo...drilled 5 1/4 by 5 1/4 ..2000 grit with Black Magic to use on the toast and it worked wonders as long as I kept up the surface...

Since I didn't need a dry lane ball....turned it into a 4 by 4 drill and resurfaced to 1000...and wahlah!!! I now have a true medium ball....took it out on the fresh shot....38 feet with clean back ends and played the twig and heard the lovely sound of the VooDoo doing its damage....

Man I love this ball...:-))

I strongly suspect that part of the key to your success is that the VooDoo and the Desert Heat both have the same basic coverstock, although the VooDoo is possibly a solid/pearl combo, while the DH is pure pearl.

I think it is a bit of the coverstock and definately the weightblock/cover combo......have had 3 of them and all reacted so well for me....
