delta comparable to the total shock&awe
« on: December 21, 2005, 08:41:01 AM »
I have a nib total shock & awe coming for christmas and my dad offered me to pay for that ball and i can buy something else. I was thinking of the delta since its a duller ball. Can anyone make any recommendations or opinions on this, if ya can drop me a pm thanks.

Keep the total shock and awe if you get a different ball make it the seek and destroy either ball is better imo than delta 1. Otherwise buy my used delta 1 for 75.00 shipped if you really want the delta 1.

You didn't like your Delta 1?  I have two of them and find them both really awesome.  The one I have dulled to 600 grit is real strong.  The one I have polished with magic shine has a huge backend.  Great continuation from both balls.

I can use these two on med oil to heavy.  The only heavy oil that this ball wont work on is an absolute flood which nothing will hook on.  I had that happen to me last week.

Yep i like the new robo rule but the delta 1 is very touchy for me, in box hooked at my feet and at 2000 abralon it is unpredictable when it is going to hook. Hooking it is the not a problem it is getting to carry that is, i know there is a correct surface but dont feel like messing with it that much.

On the other hand the robo rule out of the box rolls and hooks well for me, it reminds me of a stronger rule like i had hoped the delta 1 was.

Not a problem I have had the same thing happen to me with equipment.  Some balls just don't match up with my game very well and some are killers.

I love Track but, IMO nothing Track has can touch the TSA! The TSA is infact duller than the Delta (400 cross hatch vs 900 grit mate). I have had a few different GP2's at the same time I had the TSA and the TSA was alot stronger!

For the record, the Delta didnt impress me one bit. I thought it was actually one of Tracks worst hitting balls (not that its bad at all, just not the HUGE hit of others) and I also thought the Delta very overated! Maybe just a bad matchup for me???? Who knows?

Wow, my Delta 1 hits harder than any Track ball I've ever thrown... Of all of this ball's qualities, I never thought I would see complaints about the hit.

Mine hits great except for one condition that I used it on.  There was a ton of carry down and this ball broke a little late and it was split city.  I threw a lot of splits over the course of two games.  Ithink because it drives so hard that if you miss it leaves wierd shi@.  However when I hit the pocket I hardly leave a 10 pin or a 9 pin or an 8 pin.  I get real good carry.  It doesn't hit as hard as the angular or animal but it does carry well for me.

I base good hitting on the Animal, Arsenal series, freak-A-zoid, GP2! I have noticed that it leaves the most weird stuff at times also. Hence the percived lack of hit in my opinion. Thats a big reason I did not like it! I personally think the AR is alot better ball that does about the same thing for alot less $$

I've had both. Go with the TSA. You won't be dissapointed!

wait a minute......you already HAVE a TSA...it's in your profile with a note next to it that you "hate this ball" ??

Please clarify what you want, and what you need for your arsenal, and I'm sure you'll get better help from people!

jr,

I agree that more info would help.....however if you want something close to the TS&A I would go with the Robo Rule, you will not be disappointed.

there was something wrong with the tsa i have now. thats why it says " hate this ball". So the proshop i go to sent it back to morich and we recieved a new one. I was just wondering if the delta is comparable to morich because i was looking into track for my next ball. I got offered a nib delta 1 and some cash.. thats why i was wondering if the delta hooks as much.

I haven't thrown the AR, but I still can't imagine much harder hit than the Delta 1.  I guess if you want to get rid of it, it won't be too hard.

Do yourself a favor and try one! The AR is an outstanding ball in all ways.
