Here we go guys…about 4 games yesterday. House shot is 28ft buffed to 40, heavier centers, dry boards from 4-9. Normally the shot is blended pretty well but yesterday it was O/U. I can relate to those who say the shot changes even though the mechanic swore he did nothing different.
Ball stats: 14lbs 1 ounce, 4.5 pin…oooweee, 2 top This actually worked out well for what I was thinking, less then the Unleashed but more then the Havoc.
Layout: 4.75 pin x 2.75 mb from pap near val, bal. hole placed past pap 1 1/8 inch 1.5 inches deep. Based on the info that this ball was supposed to have a strong arcing motion to it, I didn’t want to place the mb on or past val afraid that it might stand up too quick.
This ball does exactly what it’s supposed to…STRONG ARC! I got lined up at about 32 hitting 11-12 to 7-8 at the break. It cleared the heads cleanly and recovered from the dry with a nice arc. It carried pretty well here from lite hits to high flush, left some half 10’s. I decided to see what it would do going down and in. I moved right, broke my wrist and hit 11-12 to about 9-10 standing 27. This is where I saw what Precision meant about the ball not jumping off the dry because I was hitting it pretty early at times and it didn’t just grab and turn over, it still got down the lanes quite a bit before heading back towards the pocket. I carried real well from this angle (put up 9 in a row). Probably because I wasn’t crossing as much oil or just that I was on a more direct line to the pocket. I then decided to see how much this ball could hook so I moved left, ended up at 42 hitting 15-16 to about 7-8 and the ball just came charging back but with predictability. It didn’t “fall off a cliff†like some balls, this just had a stronger arcing motion then before.
This ball revs a ton and has a nice arcing reaction. This is definitely going to Reno with me in June for the Nats, it’s all about control and this ball offers just that. It does seem to roll up a little quick but it doesn’t move left immediately after rolling up, it still gets down the lane before making its move. I’m assuming that’s due to the lower rg design, my Revmaster (very low rg) also rolled up for me pretty quick.
If you’re looking for a nice controlled smooth reaction with great hitting power, then the Untamed Animal is for you!
Sorry Ex, couldn’t wait…
