What Ball???
« on: September 27, 2005, 08:20:43 AM »

I'm looking for a ball to fill a gap, I need something for med- med/heavy with carrydown/ poor backends, was considering a D/T High Energy, but the Rule and the Delta 1 have caught my eye. I bowl about 16mph stroker medium revs 45deg axis but I can vary axis and play 1st to 4th arrows depending on oil and backend so I'm quite versatile.Would either of these suit my needs, I am looking for a ball thats not polished as I have what I need in polished balls.I need something that wiil start slightly earlier but will still be strong when my polidhed balls are not quite making the turn.

Thanks.

Hey Alan,

Based on your info, I'd go with the Rule Delta 1 now because it can offer a greater separation for you from the AU.  I'd go with a pin above ring area and keep the mb in a strong position to allow the ball to turn over in the backend.  The coverstock alone will help read the heavier oil better.  Something like a 4.5x4.25mb should do the trick....hope this helps.

Rick,

Thanks for the reply, I'd looked at the drill sheet on Tracks site and had an idea this was the sort of drill I'd need but its nice to have it conformed by an expert.

Thanks to all who replied with help and advice on this topic.I'm off to my pro-shop in the next few days.
