Seeing how we were given a pearl ball in the KP. The new wave of equipment will start to be tested and looked at in being made. Now what would you guys like to see come from the new track. Pick a ball for each line.
I myself know the brand signiture is skid flip, however with columbia getting away from thiers somewhat with the swing and arch rival. I would like to see something really made for heavy oil. I know the Rising can cover it, but I want something that is made for just oil. I would like to see something Particle come out. I would like to see this in the Rising line.
In the Kinetic line I would like to see maybe something with a little stronger core. With the MB strength in the .010+ area. Other then that the line is complet.
The Temper line I would like to see something that would go real long and then give the temper reaction off the back. Smooth and controled.

Rising Line- Definitely something particle and for longer, heavy oil.
Kinetic Line- Particle Pearl or Hybrid coverstock in between the Kinetic Energy and Kinetic that's more arc than skid/flip.
Temper Line- A pearl long and strong ball like the Power Machine but something more for medium to light oil with a high RG and lower differential. Symetrical core would also be nice.
And here's a few names I thought would be nice for the next ball/s:
Deep Rising
Phoenix Rising
Kinetic Force
Uproar

In the HP Line I would like to see a heavy oiler also just without particle.
In the UMP Line I would like to see an even weaker pearl with kinetic type motion maybe a bit tamer.
In the MP Line a very weak pearl with control an no Particle. THinking along the lines of a stronger tornado.

I HATE particle.
Would be cool to maybe see what happens on some of these balls if they mix/match some of these covers and cores across price points.
I would like to see the UP Gen1 cover use a pearl version and have the same core numbers as the UpRising.
It would be cool to have some core strengths somewhere inbetween the .03+ in the MegaTron and the .008 or lower that the other cores have.
Would like a Shuttle core with UMP Gen 1 cover.
But, everything that has come out has exceeded my expectations so I am sure whatever they do, I will say, "oh yeah, that was a great idea!"

I'd like to see a Particle/Pearl in the Rising line.
A light load particle solid in the Kinetic line(i.e. something similar to Ogre Particle)
Weaker Pearl ball in the Temper/Tantrum line (high RG, low Diff). I like the name from On Fire (Uproar).

lou thats expecting u'd hate particle, ur rev dominant, it usually doesn't work too well with rev dominant people.

Im so glad people are brainwashed to think that TRACK sucks. And its even funnier when im carrying with my TRACK ball and they're going flat ten with their BRUNSWICK ball.
-
Bowling balls don't need teeth. This is a debate that will go on until we are all blue in the face but I think some of the coverstocks have the characteristics on particle without the drawbacks to particle. Every particle ball I have ever owed except the Big Blue Pearl was allergic to carrydown.

I would like to see a weak core in the Tantrum cover. A really strong 1000 grit solid cover on the Temper line core (control) for oil would be cool also.
No particle for me either.

Would be cool to throw the shuttle core with the UP Gen 1 cover. (Temper core, Rising cover). I bet that combo would like oil!

I can't really see anything out of the Rising line. Maybe a pearl, but I don't know how well that would work with such a large core. Ooh, how about a Rising type with the midlane strength if not more than the Kinetic Energy?
Out of the Kinetic line, I wish the Pearl had a higher RG and wish the Kinetic was redone-I hate how filthy that ball gets after one roll. As for the Kinetic Energy, I can't ask for anything more.
The temper/tantrum line-I think they are just fine the way they are. The only thing that is keeping me from getting either is that my Equation and Phoenix will be sticking around for a very long time.

lou, for lowwer rev players like me, i see a DISTINCT difference between reactives and particles, fact is, my RISING IS NOT AN OILER and never will be, its too clean in the front for me, the ball isn't early enough if i want to throw track for heavy oil i need a ball either like the NVD, RESURGANCE, or preferably a particle ball.

I would like to see a ball between the up rising and the kinetic energy there is a large gap there the rest of the line i think is great and fits well maybe a different core with the uprising cover would make a perfect fit.

I see 4 areas that I would like to see addressed:
Resin ball for oil. Something in the Dimension/Cell category. My cell was much stronger than the Rising in oil.
Particle ball for heavy oil. Something in the LaneMasters Terminator category. When I'm bowling on long oil or the Shark pattern, the Terminator is my ball of choice.
Resin ball for dry/broken down lanes. Something in the Temper line that was longer and controlled in the back.
Plastic ball. I hear one is scheduled for January. Any info on this. Maybe another clear ball?
-
I think that the Rising was a stronger ball than it is getting credit for. The core/cover combo might not have matched up very well for many styles but it has the most porous cover in the lineup.
I bet if that same cover was placed on a lower rg ball with a weaker core like a shuttle core, it would be a very good ball for oil.
As far as needing a weaker ball, I haven't felt like I have ever ran out of lane. I can see why some that don't have the release that allows them to get deeper can need this. Not sure this is something we will see any time soon.
A spare ball would be cool, I am sure the idea gets tossed around but I don't know if/when/what would happen. Every brand has their spare balls, even if they are a gimmick ball like a plastic widow. I wouldn't count it out at some point in the future since the product line is in great shape now.

sorry lou, for me it was WAY TOO CLEAN up front for me

It might have been way to clean up front because it was a 2.50 RG ball. You cannot confuse cover strength with how the weight is distributed within the ball. And, if you read what I said, it did not match up very well for a lot of people. Seemed to be a love/hate relationship. A more forgiving cover and slightly tweaked core numbers on the UpRising make it an unbelievable ball. When I saw a core is strong, I am referring to the mass bias strength. The Rising had a strong core (.032 int diff) but was 2.50 rg which is medium to low medium. You probably needed a slightly lower RG to help you get the ball going.

I would like to see something that starts up sooner than The Rising and something on the weaker side. More length than the Kinetic Pearl and Tantrum with less backend.

lou, well i like it, its just too clean up front for heavy oil IMO.

I'm just tired of most if not all of the newer releases from all companies in general being strong. I really would like the direction if track were to come out with a new lower line or just come out with a much weaker version of one of the current line balls.
I know the demand isn' there but a Urethane (preferably pearl) Rising would be a nice release for those of us that see conditions fit for its use.
I really wouldn't mind seeing a nice weak pearl with the temper core for light conditions.

NJ,
How dull have you take the Rising. I love mine on heavy stuff. Granted I am high rev, but the Rising just at 1000 gives me more on oil then a Robo Rule at 800. Alot of guys dont see the Rising good for oil because of the layouts they used. I have seen Risings with a 4x4 layout. That have OOB finish and roll out on heavy oil shots, by guys who have 3 times as less hand then me.

its at 1500 grit paper, idk what it is on me because the guy didn't take my PAP and the MB is under the thumb so that can cause some trouble i think.

Now that I've finally got the laptop back up and working, I can back into the swing of things...
First off, I'd love to see a spare ball. Not too picky on specifics, but if we were to put out something along the lines of the XXXL...it would sell.

That's the big one for me too, Scoot. I think .010 is a reasonable MB rating.
The other release that I'd like to see would be a pearl version of the Rising. Add a pearl to the HP line and you can cover a WIDE RANGE of conditions. I was able to cover quite a bit with the Rising alone. Now that the UR has been added, the addition of a pearl here would make this line unstopable.

I believe that particle is leaving the market- In my personal opinion, whatever Track does should go over fine. Why don't we look for a ball taht will cover lighter volumes of oil?
