HEY FASTTRACKERS!
I punched up the Strike Machine tonight. Specs are below!
Weight: 15#
Pin Placement: 2"
Top Weight: 2.75 oz
Layout:
3 1/2" Pin Below the Ring Finger. Stacked Leverage. MB is 6 1/2" from PAP. Weight Hole 1" below PAP.
First Impressions:
If an asymmetric Heat Blast is what you are looking for, then the Strike Machine fits the bill at least. The layout is the case as to why this ball reacts so smooth for me, the Mass Bias ended up alittle further away from my PAP than expected.
Thoughts:
The Mean Machine is definitely more aggressive. The regular Machine reads earlier in the mid lane compared to the Strike Machine surprisingly; however, I have only put about 2 to 2 1/2 games on the ball so far. Picture links are below. Hope this helps some guys! God Bless You and thanks for reading this mini-review! VIDEO COMING SOON!
EDIT NOTE:
HEY FASTTRACKERS!
Originally, I informed you about my reaction with the Strike Machine being smooth. I also spoke to you about how the MB placement was 6 1/2" from my PAP.
After a long conversation to Rick (tenpinspro) over the phone the other night, explaining to him the layout and throwing thoughts back and forth at one another, he came to a conclusion. First off, the weight hole I had to have was drilled only 1 1/2 inches deep.
Rick went into great detail with me about static weight, positive and negative side weight and the affects of reaction. He suggested to me to drill the weight hole another 1 1/2 inches deeper with the next up in size drill bit.
Once this was completed, I took the ball to the lanes to test out this theory. What a difference this simple process did as the ball read the lane cleaner and didn't miss the breakpoint like before. I was leaving alot of 4-9 splits in this practice session. I didn't complain at all because the ball was snapping just as it was in the videos each of you probably or may have watched when Doug posted in his thread comparing the Strike Machine to the Machine and Mean Machine. I am definitely happy with this reaction now and I want to thank Rick for his expertise in helping me solve this problem.
As far as videos goes, I will be posting one as soon as possible! I haven't forgot about that, remember you're talking to the 'video guy' here!
Anyway, thank you for reading, I once again want to thank Rick for his solution to the problem that was. God Bless You All, thank you for reading and have a great week!
