Title: What new Track balls are you thowing and what do you think?
Post by: RCKYURWLD on August 29, 2013, 03:29:05 PM
Drilled a 706T and a 910A

The shot usually has a lot of oil volume and length but I did not see the norm last night. I threw them both. Fresh shot and there were crisp back ends. Then we had a lot of carry down. The 706T was very strong throughout the lane as I thought it would be. It set up nice in the mids and had a strong roll in the back. I ran out of lane in the 3rd game and threw the 910. VERY easy length, very defined change of direction and roll. They both hit hard but probably were not the right pieces meaning too strong for that shot. The 920T is the read ball and I never took it out.

Not throwing any, but I am looking to hear some feedback on the 300C since BTM drooled all over it in their review. Looks like a ball that would be perfect for our THS as I need something to react smooth and get thru the heads clean

505 c2.  pretty jumpy and inconsistent.  not a big fan

Ive seen both in action, both look promising.  For track the 910 is finally a highend polished pearl ball that seems to be really awesome work be usuable on ths.  Great shelf appeal helps..too bad fagan wont be throwing this one...it would sell sell sell! The 706t looks pretty predictable...everyones crazy about the 300c, big scores coming from that one...

I bet you gotta get some games on that 505C2..itll get better with age...just like the 505c! Trust it!

811CT. Very continuous. Probably the best ball I've ever thrown.

Surface tweaks may be all you need to fine tune the look and match up.

I love this equipment, but too many times I find myself struggling because I have the wrong ball in my hands and I'm trying to make it work. You have to be sharp with ball choices. It helps to know the differences between the A T and C roll shapes. You have to have and use a read ball and adjust from there.

Well, its not new, but somewhat new to me (less than a year old). Throwing the 503T............ first ball that I have had multiple 300's with, and the first time I've had 2 300's in the same year. Had one in July in a tourney, and had one tonight in our second night of league.

Love how it rolls, reacts, and hits. Just one of those balls that lines up for me; haven't seen a lot of people use them, but for me, its more than paid for itself!

Funny, last night bowled in league. Shot 300 with this ball; first ball I've ever had multiple 300's with, and its the first time I've had 2 300's in the same year.

It's OK. New stuff meaning what is still for sale and the 503T fits.

Great bowling for you with that 503T...  How did you lay it out?

I have a few balls myself that I have great confidence in. I like the T balls. Gives me the ability to not worry about squirting up front and I get a smoother reaction that allows consistency. I can play straighter lines more easily and carry better when the other balls are too sharp.

RCKYURWLD--

Drilled something close to 50 x 4 x 45.... don't have the exact specs/numbers on me, but its within that range. Had actually altered the surface after having to plug the thumb and shorten my span. Couldn't get it quite back to where it was pre-plug, but its close. Hit it with 2k abralon and then some Motiv scuff polish by hand.

The T series rolls well for me; if there is some midlane oil, I can use the ball. Its response to friction is second to none; when its too jumpy I ball down to my 716c. Also have the 508a, but we didn't drill it correctly so I took the surface up to 4k, black magic polish, then xxx polish. Needless to say, its my dry lane/spare ball now.

Like the new stuff from Track, all but their 900 series. Everything below is good for me.

The 9 series balls don't necessarily mean heavy oil. I find that the surfaces need to be tweaked to match up. A lot of people try to throw them when they may not be the correct ball meaning too aggressive or too much ball for the shot or vice-versa. Most house shots do not have enough volume of oil to throw the 912T so people who try to throw it will say it sucks. The 920T comes 4000K which is a great ball for most house shots but on higher volumes, no. The 706T out hooks that ball with it's more aggressive cover and surface. The 916AT was a very touchy cover. That ball @2K dull hooked too early up front. Worked best 2K XXX polish or 3K X polish. I loved the angularity and the hit and carry was phenomenal. This 910A comes 1500 polished. It goes long. Some may think too long so you may need to take off the polish and readjust the cover. That ball has a wicked change of direction. Some people match up better with the cores of the 5 and 7 series. The 503T has a 1K, 2K dull cover. That is some surface..

RCKYURWLD--

Correct, though they do "represent" the cutting edge of Track industries.... I just haven't had success with the 9 series balls, though I have only used the 920t.

I have had the 920t, 716c, 503t, and 508a. Got rid of the 920 when I dropped to 15lb instead of 16. Wasn't a bad ball, but wasn't as strong as I thought it would be in the beginning (it did find a spot in my bag though). I still use the other 3 balls, but seem to match up best with the 503t. The 508a is okay for THS, but the mids need to be almost gone for it to roll well (that and I have it at 4k, with xxx polish). Wanted something longer and smooth, this ball fits the bill.

If I can get an 811c/t on disco, I will; liked the look and continuation of that ball. Same with the 300 series (A and C).

505C2

The ball is a lot stronger then I thought it would be on the league shot and never stopped moving once it started up just past the arrows.

The 505c2 never had any quit to it and I left a few 9 pins and 4 pins from being a little high in the pocket. I did not have that easy down and in motion that I had expected.

It was just a continued slight moving of the ball left through the whole lane as it went down to the pins. It is still in OOB condition so I will try it again to see if it just did not match up that night or if the ball is just stronger then I thought it would be.

I won a 503A back in February and am finally going to get it punched up in the next few weeks. Hoping it will be a good later-in-the-night ball once everyone has moved in to throw over the gutter with charcoal.

I drilled both a 503A and a 300A but have yet to throw them. The league shots I see I can cover with everything else. That 503A comes with a 800/1000/2000 surface. If you need more length, you can adjust it to 4K. That should be a buzz saw. I placed it to use under the Up-Rising which I keep a fresh surface on and I have not thrown that in some time. Let us know what you think....

OK, it's not a new Track but it's new to me. Picked up a 716T and shot it for the first time last night. Wanted something more aggressive than my Black Widow for the fresh oil and it worked great. Shot a 247 with it and even had 1 open.

My only issue was I stuck with it too long as the lanes broke down so my 2nd game was a mess.  :D

got a 300c solid drilled up a week ago ( rico ) and it's pretty awesome..  also had a hammer arson low flare.. i know its not track, but wanted something that doesnt turn left on the backend and is control-able..

I do have a nib 920T coming my way, and I am also thinking of either a 503T or 706T or C/A ...

I like the 920T as a compliment to the UP-RISING. Both are drilled pin below. Similar surface but the 920T gives control up front when the UP-R is squirty up front. The 920T is smooth yet very heavy rolling and hard hitting. Great ball   I have a NIB in the closet.

Ok I am reviving this post, I just got 5 new Tracks drilled and I am very impressed!
I got the 300C solid, 400A, 505c2,706t,and the 910A, I threw 8 practice games tonight and these balls are great.

The White ball is just stupid great, this ball is special in so many ways. Can play outside, inside and ball is strong yet smooth!
300C Solid-Another great ball, so smooth and strong but knows its limits, very readable.
505C2-Is really versatile, really impressed.
706T-threw a few shots but I like what I see.
910A-WOW, this ball is really good as well, length with great backend, great looking ball as well.

All balls were left in box finish, still early and need more time and patterns but I see potential in all. More later..

That's a very good arsenal and those are good descriptions.
I threw the 910A and 706T a little more

910A went to 4K finish. I like it better like this. Still goes long, still flips and rolls hard. I agree  Great ball

706T Out of box; 2K. I like the traction roll. Easy to read back end, Too much for that shot right now.

503A Out of box; 2K/polished. Drilled Feb 13  I threw this on he league shot for most of game 3. Played a straighter line (for me); out to 7 and down just to see if I could get a reaction. I had to slow the ball way down, but saw it rev up and roll. It appears to be as adv.

300A Out of box; 4K/polished. Appears to be as adv. Did not wrinkle-needs friction.

Thanks for posting

Just picked up an 811 c/t from a close-out list. Couldn't resist! I've loved this ball since it first hit the lanes, and when I saw it on the list it was "coming home". Haven't drilled it yet (its an x-out, with a long pin) so I'm probably going to go with bigger drill angles. Probably something like 70 x 5 1/2 x 65. Long, and strong!

Anyone else have experience with this ball? Not really looking to "fit" it in my arsenal---- it'll find a spot, regardless of where. Will start OOB, then alter from there. Can't wait!

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get this ball on discount?

Sent you a pm; I search disco lists online & occasionally strike up a deal with my local pro shop operator.

I am currently using the 505C2 and the original 300C.  The 505C2 is very predictable for me, it is the first ball out of the bag on Saturday night.  The 300c is my go to ball when the lanes break down it is the only ball I use on Thursday night league.

Using 300-C Solid and 400 A SE.  Great compliment to each other for Typical House Shots.  Everyone should try this pair

706c/a . Very clean then huge backend. Love this ball. Will likely have me switching to a track only lineup. Oob surface . Pin up negative drill. This is a great ball. When oil is light it still is clean up front but the backend hook becomes too much....what eould be a good track piece to ball down to.????

@tattoo4139

I am loving my 706c/a as well, a ball that compliments the 706c/a as far as balling down is the 400A SE either drilled the same or weaker but not extremely weak.  If you want to go extremely down 300C is not bad at all.  I can literally go from 706c/a to 400A SE (drilled the same), to 300C (drilled different).  However I hope what is working for me will work for you as well.

Got a 505c2 from JamminJD and so far so good, when I've thrown it right it really does have a ton of continuation. However I've noticed when I miss I'm more prone to leave a 10 pin.
I have a 910a at the shop I'm gonna put an IT sleeve in and throw today

Track Spare
300C (Used for spares)
505T
910A(Benchmark,main ball on my leagues)
920A
930T
Lx16

The lower series balls never did it for me, which is why my 300C is currently my spare ball.

Bought the 910A at the end of last year for a tournament and fell in love.
Havent put it away since. Had a lot of great games with it in my local house.
Clean through the front, nice hard move on the backend and a lot of power.

920A was my go-to backup ball when the 910A wasn't working. Reads a little earlier than the 910A, grabs the lane hard and doesn't stop.

930T i only threw a few games with, its a lighter ball than i'm used to throwing and it really screws my timing and release up. From what i've used though it reads earlier than the A series, and has a decent hook that I just couldn't use.

Just bought the Lx16 last week and wow.
Easily my new benchmark. Reads earlier than the A series, but when it hits the dry it is goodnight for the pins. Most aggressive ball I've seen from Track by quite a bit. Really lets me open the lanes up (Medium-high speed/ medium revs, which is why the lower series balls are a handicap to me), which is something I've been missing and it feels good to have in my arsenal.

300a which is also my spare ball.  If there is oil out there i moves about an inch, but if it is dry I have been having really good luck.
