First off, I am not a track fan.  Mainly b/c they are affiliated with C300, but that is another topic all together.  

My grandfather bought a Sheer Havoc last Saturday and I picked up a MoRich Ravage(see morich forum).  Both of us decided to try the new grip-loc system.  So, I was able to swap out his thumb insert for mine and toss a few frames with the SH.

His PAP is 4 3/8 right, 1 1/2 up, mine is 5 1/2 right, 1/2 up.  We set the ball up 4 1/2 by 3 for him, pin below bridge.  With my axis coordinates the layout would be 5 1/2 by 4(give or take).  I was rather surprised by the backend snap of this ball.  It definitely acts like a resin when it hits the dry on the backend.  I was rather impressed, I have even thrown a Track ball since the KO Punch.  I am NOT saying I will be converting to track or buying one but it was rather surprising.

shhhhhh keep it quiet great ball no one has in my area but me, it is like an columbia ego or wired on steroids. Ball has massive backend recovery when you miss you mark wide and is much stronger than BTM reviewed, which they are most of time the other way so this ball evens it out for them with me. You could go with Havoc for much oiler shots, switch to Sheer Havoc for most shots and then go with Triple Threat for fried tracks and gutter shots. I have all three and i am not selling any of them so this tells you they are winners because i do not sell anything that rolls good for me. So for under 350-400 bucks poeple can have a great 1-2-3 arnesal for tournaments without spending there money on the high end track stuff.

Great ball.

Greatly underappreciated.


It does compliment the Havoc VERY well. I think people are frightened away from it because it is particle. This ball is a true medium condition ball. It rolls so true. AWESOME ball to read the lanes with.

Hey Agroves,

I agree, the Sheer has quite a bit of backend for the slower speed players.  The few I've drilled so far definitely show good length w/ pop.  As Ex stated, most would've thought that because it's particle, it would grab more but evidently it's a lighter load and/or smaller maybe.

Well, its been a few games and he really seems to like the SH.  It gives him length and the reaction he has been missing for quite sometime.

Thanks for the help with all my questions Rick.  I appreciate it.  It is the first Track ball I have seen that I would maybe(very big maybe) consider owning.

The Sheer Havoc is a great ball.  Extremely versatile and for me may be one of those balls that I can have 2 or 3 of with different surfaces and be very happy.  It's core is strong enough where if you put some surface on it it can handle wetter conditions but the particle load is light enough to handle the lighters.  Very readable.
