Whats next in the 5 series?
« on: March 22, 2010, 01:26:26 PM »
Seeing as the 505c is discontinued (not available on buddies), what seems to be the next step in the series?  I hope they keep the shuttle core...505T?

505C isn't discontinued at all. If buddies said bowling is not going to exist anymore would you believe it? Maybe they sold out it is the best ball track has.

The 505c is discontinued.  Pretty much as of this week.  So are the 715A and the 930T.  Makes sense anyway they''ve been out long enough.  I wouldn''t mind seeing a "T" in the 5 series.  Something similar to the Jacked would be nice.

Buddies isnt the only place I've heard this, and yes it is discontinued, just merely giving a reference.

The distributor doesn't "discontinue" a ball, as far as I have learned. The manufacturer does, when they say they won't make any more. The distributor can "close out" its own sales of that ball, by discounting it to get rid of its inventory.

Ok look I received an email as a staffer and as a proshop 12 days ago saying that the first ball in each line(5,7,9) are discontinued and we were given 10 days to order what we wanted before they ship them off overseas.  They've been out long enough it makes sense.  I'm sure at bowl expo they will reveal replacements.  (hopefully I really like my 505c)
