Where can I get clean n sheen?
« on: May 22, 2005, 02:35:00 PM »
I want to order a quart of clean n dull after seeing how good it works, but since I'm ordering that...I wanted to try magic shine and clean n sheen. Buddies doesnt have clean n sheen. I found some on another site, but the only size they had it in was a quart. I just want to try the magic shine and clean n sheen in the 8oz bottles for now. Who would have all this so that I could buy from one place and save some shipping?

legend,

I am not 100% on this, I am sure someone will chime in, but I do not believe clean n sheen is made in anything other than quarts.

OK, so does the cns clean the ball as good as the cnd? I know we discussed that the cns would leave a polished finish at about 1000grit, but does it clean the ball as good as cnd?

legend,

it will clean the ball, but nothing cleans as well as clean n dull. It will clean the surface where clean n dull will get into the cover a bit.

Dang-it, I love the clean n dull and want a quart, but I'd like to try the CNS b/c of the slight polish but without alot of extra length. From what you all say, the magic shine will give alot more length. I just didnt really want to spend $28 on a quart of something that I've never tried. Anybody got a empty 8oz bottle they can fill with CNS and sell me? lol.

Clean N Sheen is more a base polish. It's not really a cleaner. I use it to smooth out sanding lines, when I can't get them the way I like. It only comes in qts.

If you are wanting it as a cleaner, it's NOT what you think it is. Better off with Clean N Dull.

wow..can't type this morning.....gggrrrrr

I don't want it as a cleaner. I only want to use CND as my cleaner. I want to try the CNS b/c its a polish that leaves the ball at a low grit(1000)and doesnt suppose to give too much extra length. My only problem is nobody sells a small bottle to try.

Ok, once more, I think I'd like to insure you understand what Clean 'n' Sheen is.

Clean and Sheen is NOT a polish; that is a secondary effect. Its main purpose is to remove sanding lines AFTER a plug is routed off. Its 2nd-ary effect allows driller to do a 2 in 1 operation, so as not to waste time. It puts a 1000 grit polish on the plugged area, after it removes 400-500 grit sanding lines. In this respect, its function and purpose is identical to Ultimate's Quick Cut and Polish.

OK, thats even better. I don't like heavy polished balls and thats why I want to try it. If it removes sanding lines, then thats a bonus! I dont really have heavy lines b/c I use scotchbrite with water on my spinner. I get some light lines, but they don't seem to affect the balls reaction. Thanks for the clarification.
