Title: Which lineup??
Post by: Rock77 on November 21, 2006, 05:50:39 AM
We are making up games for missing bowling on the night of Halloween, thus, I am bowling a 6 game set tonight. We switch pairs after each set. The lanes usually start out med/hvy and break down from there. By game 5 and 6 I know that they will be pretty burnt up. My question is, what lineup would you bring to league?

I was thinking of doing a high performance lineup and going with the Mean Machine, Machine, Strike Machine and Desert Heat.

I could also do a mid level lineup with my Solution, Inertia, Solution PP EX and Desert Heat.

Which lineup would you bring or would yo mix and match?

Ryan: I guess I would mix and match based on what you have. Mean Machine for sure, then probably the Inertia, Solution Power Plus Ex and Desert Heat from there. You'd have a good mix of different looks as well based on the cores and coverstocks. I'm sure others will have different suggestions. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I wound up going with the Mean Machine, Inertia, Strike Machine and Desert Heat. Funny thing is the Strike Machine and Desert didn't see any action at all.

The first pair was just as I thought, med/hvy. So, I pulled out the MM and shot 181,218. Moved to the next pair and thought I could still go with the MM. After about 6 frames, I wasn't able to find an area to play due to the track area burning up quick, so I pulled out the Inertia and used that for the rest of game 3 and 4. Went 169,257. Then, for the last set, we were on a pair that everyone had struggled on all night. This pair had oil outside. There weren't any dry boards oustide to bounce the ball off, so I stuck with the Inertia and shot 199,202 playing right up 8. Not a bad night, but definitely not the greatest night either. I averaged 204 for the night so it's better than what I've been doing.
