Freak A Zoid Cont.
« on: September 19, 2004, 12:39:32 PM »
As I stated in my review of the Freak A Zoid I am posting more info about this ball.

I used it last week in league. Typical Capital District NY house shot.
Flood in the middle dry right.

The ball handled this pattern with ease. Nice length and a continuos motion on the backend. The only difficulty I had was in the 4th game when I was forced into the "swamp" but as we all know this is not a heavy oil ball.

I used it yesterday in the PBA east Regional at Rockville Centre.
B pattern on new synthetic lanes.
I switched to this ball in game 7 and bailed out a check.
There was a lot of carry down and by game 7 the front was gone.
The ball was clean through the front and still had enough pop to kick the corners out.

I will be drilling another Freak A Zoid with a stronger drilling pattern and make a surface adjustment to handle heavier oil volume.

I will let you know how I make out.

I have two of them. One drilled on a 5 1/2 by 4 Pin under the middle finger with small hole at 4". It is very smooth with good midlane read and backend. I have one drilled 5 1/2 by 2 1/2 pin above the bridge with cg kicked 2 1/2 right with a hole at 4".

I love both balls and they both work good on Pba patterns B, C, and A. I used the one above my bridge on B pattern playing around 28 at the arrows and sending it to about 12 board and shot 300 on a not so good wood surface. I love the fact that they read the middles soo well and blend out the wet dry.

Hey Thumbs,

Couldn't agree with you more, still my go to ball when they get drier.  Great midlane reaction with a nice smooth arc like yours, then keep the pins low.  Sometimes the pins fall real late but they fall.  Drilled mine at 4x3, 1.5 above midline.  Keep getting those checks bud...good going.
