What if it was advertised as " the cg was mismarked" Could the driller determine where the correct position of the cg should be?

If he/she can't then you need to find a new driller ASAP!
And it doesn't matter if it's mismarked, CG doesn't matter!
-
Who cares? You don't need the CG . . . It doesn't matter . . . Ask anyone.

It matters if you want the ball to be legal without going past the legal weighthole specifications. Don't tell him to put the C.G. anywhere, I'm sure he doesn't want it swung left and have to have a weighthole on the negative side of the ball, what would be the real sense in that unless you wanted to try a 135 degree drilling.
To answer your question, any driller should be able to determine where the "Actual C.G." is with a dodo scale. Lane 1's website has a nice tutorial on how to find it.

Hey Buckwild,
DP is correct in stating that knowing cg is important in making sure your ball ends up being ABC/USBC legal. It will have some affect on your statics as well. A good driller should be weighing all equipment anyway to verify that the ball is legal after drilling and should also know how to find the true cg with the aid of a DODO scale. Hope this helps explain some...

Thanks again. On the Track label, where is the cg marked?

this depends on what ball you are looking at. The old balls with the old labels will have the CG inside the ball on the lane. here is a pic. http://www.freepichosting.com/Albums/421599579/7.html
In the lable, inside the little ball, there are 3 finger holes and the 4th dot is the CG.
On a newer ball, the ch is marked under the Track Name. http://www.freepichosting.com/Albums/421599579/10.html
