I just wanted to comment about how much I'm loving this ball. I'm not one to brag about scores, but since getting two of them about a month ago, I've been shooting some numbers and have had more chances at honor scores. The reason being is that it recovers, it hits really well and it opens up the lane. Once I get lined up with it, I seem to strike forever. The problem now is knowing when to put it down. When you need control, that's when the FAZ or Slash come into play. But when you need strikes, the Xception does it exceptionally well (corny, I know...
)
One is my "cicrle the lane" ball. It's 5 1/2 x 5 1/8 (pin x mb) with the Pin 4 inches above the midline above the ring finger. No extra hole. This one recovers really well. It just seems to come back from anywhere. Still reads suprisingly well for such a strong layout. It makes a hard arc, not really snappy. The 2nd is 6 x 6 3/4", pin 1.5 above midline below middle finger. It was an experiment and I clipped the thumb at first but thanks to Brian Pursel, I added a hole that raised the track some to not clip. This one allows me to play a little straighter through the fronts but still a strong finish. It also works better on broken down patterns because it ignores the first 30 feet with very little flare. This one will actually have a very hard snap and set on some conditions. It's about 4-5 boards weaker. Because of the amount of oil I've seen, I've used this one a little more but they are good compliments.
I'm going to try and get some videos up later this week. I just need access to a good camera. Phone videos don't come out too well
