Too hard to say what pitch you can use without having the details to your span change and seeing your hand. There are generic standards in changing pitches while shortening a span but every individual can be slightly different. The only advice I can offer is to try the 1/8 forward and see how it feels. Are you dropping the ball right now at zero? If not, what's your reasoning for wanting to change to 1/8 forward? A lot of times when we set/change pitches for an individual, it's still a little bit of a guestimate per guidelines and then we fine tune from there to that individual.
