Phenom Unleashed & Xception
« on: January 20, 2005, 06:38:59 AM »
I am moving from 15# to 14# and I was wondering what the difference was between the 2.  I like my unleashed a lot and I noticed that they are pretty much discontinued.  Seeing as how I had a lot of problems with the bridge cracking on my unleashed I was thinking of getting something else.  Anyways any help with this would be great and I appreciate any input!

Unleashed is a great ball if you can find one. I just shot 298 with one of mine on Sunday. Particle cover combined with the core makes for a very even rolling ball, but not designed for the heaviest oil you can find. The X-Ception, has GOO LS reactive cover and a different core. The X-Ception is built for medium dry lanes and has a HUGE backend! X-Ception would go longer than the Unleashed and has more backend.

Hope this helps!

The Xception will not handle the oil that the Unleashed will. Probably the closest in the current Track Line would be the Rule.

Hey oooink,

The guys are right on here.  My Unleashed (Fang RF) is earlier rolling compared to the Rule but the Rule has more backend reaction (being resin).  The Xception goes much longer with backend in comparison, hope this helps.
