wet sanded vs. regualr sanded

hi my ultimate inferno and freakaziod react just like one another. (high grit on ultimate) So i am planning on using a 800 grit on my Ultimate. My question is if i wet sand it instead of jus regular sanding will it make a difference?

I have always wet sanded everything. If I don't use water, then the heat created is so hot, I can't stand to put my hand on the ball. The water act as a lubricant and a coolant I would say. Also, the reason I wet sand everything is because I once tried, by hand-no spinner, to sand a ball, and the lines I left in the ball were HORRIBLE! Granted, I was only a kid (it was the original Red Zone when it first came out--10 years ago or so?)It took the pro shop operator about 2 hours to fix what I did and then to resurface the ball. I said I WOULD NEVER do that again, and I haven't.

Hey djann,

Wet sanding sands easier and smoother for me vs dry sanding.  For some, they feel wet sanding also helps unclog pores as you're doing it vs taking any chances of leaving particles in/on the surface of the ball.

if you like putting all that synthetic crap in your lungs.....then by all means reg. sand...otherwise...wet sand is the only way to go.

Just MY way of thinking.....but if you Dry sand, you are crazy !!!! I'm sure there's some that do, but for me...a LOT of water keeps the 'dust' down and the small particles are washed away leaving a smoother finish. I won't even dry SB, it must have water in/on it for me to work with it, but, as I said...that's just MY opinion.
