Good Mexican Food......Where at?
« on: May 07, 2008, 01:29:18 PM »
Can anyone recommend a good mexican food restaurant in town?  Tucanos was one of the BEST restaurant's I've ever had the pleasure to eat at!!  I highly recommend it to anyone heading down for Nationals.  It is only 1 block from the arena so leave your car in the parking garage and walk over and eat.  They also validate parking if you park in the 2nd and Gold parking garage if you stop by before/after bowing.

Thanks for the info.  We are heading back home tomorrow evening but we're craving some southwest flavor before we leave.

El Pinto, was recommended by local working at the Hampton Inn. Food was  unbelievable. Can't remember the street name, but I know it was a side road off of Almaeda.

Sadie's is my personal favorite.  It's on Fourth Street just north of Montano.  A bit farther up Fourth and you find one of the Garduno's, and still on Fourth just north of Alameda you'll find El Pinto.  All of them are good, but Sadie's is always my first choice.  Service, portions, price, taste can't be beat.

P.S.  Glad you enjoyed Tucano's!  When my brother and his wife were here for nationals, we hit Tucano's and Sadie's.  They went back east and recommended both to other bowlers who were heading this way for Nationals.

Thanks for all the recommendations everyone.  We are back from NM and had a great time.

Shot 512 for the Roto Grip Challenge and then went downhill from there.  Only shot 1788 this year for all events.  Struggled with during heads and tight back ends.  Kept moving in after every couple shots but lost focus in team and cost me.  I didn't pay attention to the front of the lane and didn't adjust fast enough.

Took my 12 year old son with me and we had a great time seeing the sights as much as I did bowling this year.

Good luck everyone who hasn't been this year.
