Jealous of all of you with Southwest. Love flying with them when possible. However, in order to fly SW, I would have to drive 8 hours to Denver, CO. It is what it is I guess, still cheaper than flying to Reno.
Thanks for the replies!
This makes me wonder where you are that you have to drive 8 hours to get to Denver?
I ask because if you look at their map, unless you are in Montana, Extreme rural Wyoming, North Dakota, or South Dakota, no SWA destination is more than a 6 - 7 hour drive between destinations. For example, if I used Omaha as my center,
- 8 hours east of me is Chicago, putting OMA, DSM, and MDW into play.
- 8 hours south to southeast of me is Dallas, putting MCI, STL, TUL, OKC, LIT, and DAL into play.
- 8 hours north of me is Canada. DLH and MSP come into play.
- 8 hours west/southwest of me puts me a little past Denver, putting DEN, AMA, and ABQ into play.
So it really makes wonder that if you are that far out, like Rapid City, Bismarck, Helena, Great Falls, or something like that, that that would be the closest airport for you..
