Airline Discounts for USBC Open Championships
« on: January 28, 2017, 07:09:17 PM »
I found an airline discount on Bowl.com for Delta flights to Las Vegas for the Open Championships. However, when I went to Delta.com to book the flights, the prices were the exact same as Expedia.

Has anyone ever used this discount code or know how it works?

Thanks!

NOPE!

From all the research that I've done so far.....there are no discount flights to Vegas!
Some days you're the bug....some days you're the windshield...that's bowling!

Southwest man. Take your lady friend and a suitcase each. You get 2 free luggage transports per person...Which leaves you room to take 2 triple totes or 2 double ball bags.

If you're solo u can just do a double tote as your carry on, and a double or triple as your extra luggage.

Boom. Discount.
In the bag [Infinite Physix, Volatility Torque, Night Road, Phaze III, Burner Solid, Hustle AU]
*Now Testing* IQ Ruby, Renevant, another IQ Tour solid
Coming soon...???

That's exactly what we did last year and now this year. The no baggage fees is a huge money saver when flying from Illinois. I like Southwest the best out of any airline. The flight attendants always make your flight fun.

Jealous of all of you with Southwest. Love flying with them when possible. However, in order to fly SW, I would have to drive 8 hours to Denver, CO. It is what it is I guess, still cheaper than flying to Reno. :)

Thanks for the replies!

SW is better except for no assigned seats. If you're flying with someone odds are u don't get to sit together....But oh well.

Flying is like going to the movies. Lol it's not hangout time. I typically meet some rad people..

Also my buddy used some "honey" app on his phone. I believe it's a Google app. He said he saved $50 but idk if that's something extra or what. Cuz I saved $100 just cause of Southwests promo that day.  Worth checking out though...

Purchase the Early Bird option or check-in on the website or app at 24 hours prior to your flight and you should never have a problem sitting together again.  The longer you wait to check-in, the further back in line your boarding spot will be.

That's why we did purchase the Early Bird option both years as well. I always meet interesting people on planes and airports too!

This makes me wonder where you are that you have to drive 8 hours to get to Denver?

I ask because if you look at their map, unless you are in Montana, Extreme rural Wyoming, North Dakota, or South Dakota, no SWA destination is more than a 6 - 7 hour drive between destinations. For example, if I used Omaha as my center,
  • 8 hours east of me is Chicago, putting OMA, DSM, and MDW into play.
  • 8 hours south to southeast of me is Dallas, putting MCI, STL, TUL, OKC, LIT, and DAL into play.
  • 8 hours north of me is Canada. DLH and MSP come into play.
  • 8 hours west/southwest of me puts me a little past Denver, putting DEN, AMA, and ABQ into play.

So it really makes wonder that if you are that far out, like Rapid City, Bismarck, Helena, Great Falls, or something like that, that that would be the closest airport for you..  :-\

I am in Billings, MT, so it's a 7 hour & 46 minute drive to Denver which is the nearest airport that SW flies from. Spokane is over 8, and Boise & Salt Lake are both over 8 hours.
