Jay Futrell is sitting in first with his team, team all events, and he leads in all events as we speak. How sweet would it be to not just win one, but 3? Good Job Jay!

He was VERY good. Absent his demons, who knows what he mighe have done. Remember him leading the summer Tour stop and finishing second and thinking he was destined for many PBA titles.
BTW, there is a long thread about him in the Players section of the PBA forum.

Beans it's funny you mention him. I was talking about him the other day to a younger bowler. It was 2002 and I was still pretty new to bowling....I had won a trip to bowl in the Masters, and was just along for the ride. We were watching another squad bowl and I saw this guy with a real hitchy armswing and weird approach throw the ball. I made a comment about bad armswing and someone I was travelling with QUICKLY corrected me....explaining that between 1990 and 1996 Neumann struck on just about ever shot he threw.
I recall watching for a few minutes as he struck quite a bit that day. Just thought that was interesting.

have not seen neumann in a while he bowled a couple tourneys I held was always rock solid. If it was a grind shot he was real hard to beat i wonder what happened to him real nice guy when the demons left him alone

I was lucky enough to have just left Juniors in 1991 and being from the East I was able to watch Neumann and Rudy at their bests. It was a sight to see. I remember at the Ideal Open in Endicott,NY in the early-mid nineties. Neumann was bowling Bob Vespi for $250 a game during qualifying. I don't remember the outcome but I was in total awe. Never saw people bowl for that kind of money before.
