another summary of the ABC tournament
« on: June 25, 2005, 01:40:34 PM »
Just returned from the tournament.  I bowled team 8:30 on the 22nd and doubles and singles 11:40 on the 23rd.  This was my first trip to the ABC tournament.

The shot was definitely different than a typical league shot.  It played like our sport shot league.  Dry inside and wet outside.  I was not able to find a good line in team.  The fresh oil only lasted a few frames and then transitioned quickly.  After using several lines and a couple of balls, I settled on the Absolute Inferno.  I was sliding around 35 and the ball was going out to 12.  I was able to salvage a 600.

In doubles and singles it was extremely dry.  I used a Turbo X sliding on 37 going out to 12.  I probably only used this ball once in the last year.  The fit wasn't perfect, but I could hit the pocket.  I developed a blister on my thumb during the first game of singles, but with the use of some grip tape I had, I was able to finish.  I ended up with 635 in Doubles and 602 in Singles
