Any plans for Vegas besides gambling and bowling?
« on: February 18, 2009, 12:41:24 AM »
Are you looking forward to anything besides the obvious?  I'm not a big gambler, maybe spend a couple hours at the tables.  I think we're gonna try to hit a show and do some sight seeing.

I saw the Criss Angel show Believe mentioned in an earlier post. I would like to save all of the people on here some money and strongly, strongly (If I typed it a one hundred times it wouldn't be enough) suggest you do not waste your money on this show.  The magic sucked. The Cirque stuff sucked.  I wanted to walk out on the show but we spent some decent money and kept telling myself that it would get better and it would have a spectacular ending to make it worth it.  It didn't.  Everything about it was horrible.  I can't say enough bad things about the show.. but won't .. go on yelp.com and check out some of the reviews.. the reviews are more entertaining than the show.

What is it about Famous Daves BBQ?  I mean it is good, albeit over priced but for me great BBQ is a dump on the side of the road with smoke coming out of the chimney.

I will probably be forced to go to the Strip because I have a newbie with me.  Should be fun to see someone who has never seen Vegas and he's 49!  I'm also a bachelor for four days and I can't count a few things to do in Vegas!

We don't have Famous Dave's in my home state, so it makes it worth waiting for.
Discovered them on company training while in Minnesota, nothing like there bbq in Albuquerque other then Rudy's, which has pretty good brisket by my standards.

I WILL BE IN VEGAS FOR ALL OF 50 HOURS SO I WON'T HAVE MUCH TIME FOR MY FIRST TRIP THERE.  MY FATHER AND I ARE GOING TO CHECK OUT THE BELLAGIO FOUNTAINS AND FREEMONT STREET LIGHT SHOW.  OTHER THAN THAT I JUST WANT TO CHECK OUT MOST OF THE BIG HOTELS AND WHAT THEY ALL HAVE TO OFFER, FOR MY NEXT TRIP THERE.

For everyones info. There is no Mustang,Bunny Ranch ETC In Clark County which is Las Vegas. County laws do not allow legal Prostitution

I was going to post this as well. These places are near Reno, not Vegas. So unless you are up for a 8-9 hour drive, you'll have to save these for 2010 and 2011.

Pahrump, NV has two of the most famous brothels in Nevada, Sheri's and the Chicken Ranch.  They're about a 40 minute drive northwest of Vegas.

Grand Canyon West, about an 11/2 hours west of the dam. Best show in town, and the skywalk is open.
