Well, this year was the MOST dissapointing one in the 6 years that I've bowled them. We had a really good team, we shot 3031 and I had a 528 Series.  It just didnt matter what I did, I couldnt catch breaks, When I missed, I was either bucket or 3-6-9-10 or big four.  Everything I had was either over reacting or just wasnt reading correctly.  Most of it was my timing, everyone was telling me that I was either to early or to late with the follow.  I dont know if alot of it was just trying to hard to make the ball read correctly or just being dumb.  I ended up throwing my White Dot the last game and although I was a 155 game I felt that I could predict where the ball was going and what I did wrong.  Maybe its just Reno, maybe it was me.  Im thinking next time I am going to take my blue hammer and possibly find a Burgundy hammer and a spare ball.

At least you were on a team that made you some money. I looked at your team mates scores, and it looks like you were with some bowlers who scored.

I know its not much consolation, but to make the money you made and shot what you feel was not that great, should make things worth looking forward too next year.

hey all i bowled in reno for my first time im only 19 and just move up to the adults thisa year and i won 284  dollars

The problem with getting frustrated and tossing a white dot straight at the head pin and hoping for the best is that you still didn't score and the carry down from the white dot probably prevented your team mates from scoring as well as they could have. Nothing like throwing what you think is a good shot and having the ball just keep on going.

It sounds like you get too much side rotation and grab on it at the release. Try taking some lessons, it really helps.

Another thing to consider is the surface of your equipment. You do not want your ball to make a sudden change of direction. If you are bowling on the fresh then you need a ball that has some surface. Shiney stuff will create problems like an over/under reaction. The only time I will use something with a shine is during the end of doubles/singles. I started this year with a Special Agent at 500 Abralon playing 15 to 8 and just transitioned in with it. I pretty much used it for all my games except the last game and a half of singles. I was able to change to my Doom and jump way in.

Take a variey of balls with different surfaces and you should be fine.
