Hey guys and gals,
I'll be making my Open Championships debut in a little under a month, and I'm still not sure what equipment to take. I've read posts and talked with people who have been there, but I'm still not sure what to bring. Now, I'm a two-handed player, so my rev rate is fairly high. Still, I'm not averse to playing straighter if that's what is called for. Here is what I'm thinking of bringing along:
Virtual Gravity (2000 abralon)
Special Agent (2000 or 4000 abralon)
Espresso OR C300 Action (2000)
Paradigm (1000 abralon)
Chainsaw Massacre (Box - not sure what the exact grit rating is)
Razyr (1000 Abralon)
Scout Hi-Flare Urethane (Box)
Tuff
On paper, I like the look of this array. I think I have plenty of smooth strength for the fresh while also leaving myself several different options and shot shapes for when the are hooking more in singles and doubles. Still, being a tournament rookie, I'm just not sure. If you all could offer evaluations and suggestions, I would really appreciate it!

Chris Barnes is not a choker---he is just a great opponent to draw on TV.

I see a lot of surface but nothing that is symmetrical/shiny/med flare for when you need to really get in for singles/doubles. Something like a Rapid Fire/Grand Illusion....being a higher rev player you would most likely not be able to throw the really early stuff in the last couple of games.
Good Luck!!!

when did you make this switch? you sure looked like you had plenty of physical talent and form the last time i saw you bowl, and revs and speed were not a problem
