Ball List
« on: June 05, 2012, 10:52:10 AM »
I know I am getting old, but I recall a post recently where each booth at Nationals gave a general idea of what ball they recommended for this year's shot.  I went through Riggs blogs and didn't see it.  I went through this forum and the Bowl.com forum and didn't see it.  Am I imagining things?  Can someone please point me in the right direction?

It's usually just hype...there is no "ball" that will work for everyone or even the majority of bowlers.  A lot depends on how you roll the ball and where you're comfortable playing.  No 2 bowlers are the same....so something different will work for everyone.

There was an article in a recent Bowling This Month issue. the author (Bill Hall as I recall) went to each manufacturer's booth and got their recommendations. Wouldn't you know it, it just happened to be their latest ball. What a surprise. Of course I didn't place a lot of value on the information.

Thanks, I thought I was going crazy.  Yeah, I did notice that the information was slanted.  But I guess as a general rule and no specific bowler information, they can't narrow it down too much.
