Golf in Knoxville?
« on: June 05, 2003, 05:20:19 PM »
I am headin down to Knoxville in about 10 days.  I have 2 days to kill before our first squad and was wondering where the best place to play golf within about 20 or 30 miles for under $50?  Or just anywhere in the area that is decent to play.  Thanks

We played at Three Ridges.  About a 20 minute drive from downtown.  Can't remember exact price but I know it was less than $50 w/cart.  Could be different now though because when we went the end of March it wasn't yet in season.  Course wasn't in the best of shape but I'm blaming that due to the time off year it was and the fact that the greens had just been aerated the day before.  I did really enjoy the layout and the scenery(set back in the hills)though.  Supposed to be one of the best courses in the area.

Here's a few that I played earlier this year.

Millstone Golf Club (Only a few years old and was absolutely beautiful)
450 Alpha Valley Road, Morristown TN 37814, 423-586-4000.

Patriot Hills (don't even think about walking this course----was a great value)
