Bowlers Journal
« on: January 30, 2007, 07:42:52 AM »
Is the bowler's journal tournament usually held in conjunction with the USBC open championships ("nationals") being held this year?  Does anyone have a link to the official web site?  If so, could you share it with the board?  The link I posted in another thread seems to have changed since.

The BJI website doesn't help much, either does the bowl.com site.  Perhaps a call to USBC headquarters will shed some light on the subject.  I'll repost if I get the information.

the reno hilton is now the grand sierra.  the bowling center is still there.  where the bj will be is anyone's guess.  the usbc web site, bowl.com does not have any updated information.  in 2004, the event was at a dump called amf starlite lanes.  it is located on the other side of the freeway from downtown reno.

I wonder if the 100 foot lane still exists?

This months issue of Bowlers Journal has the tournament at Grand Sierra (former Reno Hilton). Not sure where the BTM is yet.

I haven't seen the 100 ft. lane at the last couple of nationals in Reno.
Wish it would make a comeback.
The BJ is at the former Reno Hilton.
Probably the 40 framer will be there as well.
BTM at High Sierra.

Hopefully we can still take shuttles back and forth from each tournament back to the stadium.
