Well this was my first National tourney, so yes it was an eye opening experience.
The first day was Team event, started out well enough with 232, and I thought to myself this ain't going to be to bad(WRONG).
Then the second game is were I had my problems. I have never seen a shot go away so fast in my life, it got me second guessing myself, missed three easy single pin spares, and chopped another one. Was really getting pissed at myself. Only shot 146 for the second game.
Third game came back and shot a 216, finally changed balls like I should have in the second game.
That was Team event, and I pretty much tried to stay straight as possible as allot of the big hookers were having allot of problems with washouts.
The second day for doubles and singles:
First doubles, the three games I just couldn't seem to get lined up, the one line I did find left me allot of corner pins, so I just had to grind it out.
Game 1= 193
Game 2=180 left a washout in both the 9th and 10th frames.
Game 3= 199
Then singles after we switched lanes. These lanes were much more to my liking. That same shot that left a bunch of corner pins would carry on this set.
Game 1=188 after some fishing around this is when I found that shot would carry.
Game 2=254 much better game the best for me in this tourney.
Game 3=198 shot started out good but then started going away again, just like in team event but this time I made my spares.
In review I wasn't surprised by how tight the shot was but the transition is a beeetch. I was very surprised how fast the shot will change form one game to the next but this was my first time and I learned a thing or two. In total I had 1806 in All Events and a 640 for singles, maybe I can cash with those we will see. Does anybody know were you see the standing list every bowler and were they rank?
And special thanks to Ron for bowling on are team, nice meeting you, and a much better bowler than he leads on about himself. Maybe again next year if you want.
