Equipment for Nationals

im trying to keep the number of balls im takin to a minimum. I think im gonna take my polished Hot Sauce drilled 5" 45 degrees and 800-1000 grit Avalanche Solid Drilled 4" 75 degrees and my plastic ball. im not opposed to taking another ball or buying one once im down there, do you think this will get me by. check my profile for more equipment and stats.

you need a strong solid dulled. maybe something like a momentum swing or a pinslasher and dull it. the avalanche is not going to  be strong enough until they burn and the hot sauce will just skate on the fresh

i can change surfaces or im not opposed to playing a little straighter.
and/or
perhaps drill a virtual gravity 4" p2p MB strong/ double thumb

I brought my 4x3 pin under Blue Vibe at 1000, my 4x4 Dimension at 2000, and my 5x3 pin over bridge Cell Pearl OOB, and a spare ball.   If I was to do it all over again, I would bring a weaker pearl than the cell.  When i went over to the 40 frame game, I needed something weaker.  The shot was pretty easy, I had the whole right side, so my Heist earl, or my Original Inferno, or my short pin to pAP Code would have been great there.

I think a solid, with a surface of 2000 or 4000 Abralon will be what you need for team event.  I used a 900 Global Maniac at 2000 Abralon, pin up 5 x 3-1/2", and it was almost too much ball for the fresh shot at team.  Should have used my Track Kinetic Energy at 4000 Abralon, pin up 5 x 3-1/2".  I used the KE at the start of doubles and had a great look.  Switched to the Hot Sauce Pearl for games 1 and 2 of singles, then used the 900 Global Link (pin down, 5 x 3-1/2") for the last game of singles and had a great look.  Should have gone to the Link for all 3 games of singles.

Add a solid with 200 or 4000 Abralon, and I think you will have a good setup for all events.

well, i ended up taking my hot sauce which was i knocked the polish off with 4000 and my pearl avalanche. I bowled the BJ first i had a pretty good look there, i shot 257 198 189 195( i missed a couple spares/splits or i would have been 900/4) so i decided not to change surfaces or buy anything new. I played 11-9 with my hot sauce and really didnt have to move much i was luck enough to bowl on fresh for my team event( we were 3016) and to start my doubles( we were 1200 with my 147 in game 2. I found that there was a bit more friction in dbls/sngls than in team event so i switched to my avalanche in game 3of dbls, had a good look but i couldnt come out of it consistently/pinched a couple and was left with splits. which were the only opens i had for the last 4 games which were all in the 180's. I shot 1714 for my first nationals. awesome but respectable.
