Whats better Fresh oil or Broke down shoot. Like in D/S, would you rather bowl the early squade or a square where people have already bowled on the lanes. Just a question. Let me know

I have mixed feelings about this topic having just gotten back yesterday.  The shot in teams was very nice and wasn't as tight as I expected it to be.  Had a very nice look out early that transitioned in as the oil broke down.  We actually knew 2 of the guys following our team for D/S from the Journal and they thanked us for playing the lanes the way that we did.

We took the time to watch our D/S pairs prior to bowling and I knew that my singles pair would be a bit different than the doubles pairs.  I really did like the doubles lanes and found that I had my best look on this pair.  My singles pair had a funny hang spot that made the transition really odd for myself and the other righty on my pair that had hand.  That and there was a left swinging / spraying the lane during doubles that made the lanes even weirder as you move inside of 4th arrow.

All and all as Bob pointed out...it depends on who was on your pair before you in D/S.  In Teams it would depend on how the two teams play / break down the pair.

I'd have to agree with Goof, I believe it greatly depends on the individual bolwer being able to read the lanes, and choose the correct equipment for the shot. The beggest thing is to stay within your game, help breaking the shot down with team members is vital in scoring at Nats.

My doubles partner and i bowled the midnight shift for singles and doubles. If you catch the right pairs with the right people bowling in front of you, they break down extremely nice. We were on 17-18 for singles and had 793 and 788
