Easy answer is none of them will hold up great. I have a roto 3 ball roller that was basically brand new and now won't stand up because the black plastic on the end was cracked by the airlines.

We went to nationals a couple weeks ago and at my departing airport the 3 balls and bag came in at 54lbs, no shoes or accessories in bag, they made me either take out a ball or pay $50. I threw one ball in my suitcase and went on my way.

Returning flight the never weighed the bag at curbside compared to when we departed. I think it's really luck of the draw at airports.

In my experience, the best 3 ball bags are the ones with no shoe compartment and inboard wheels. If they have the outboard wheels they will store the bag on its side. Do not expect your bag to come out unscathed. Anything but 3 15# balls in the bags will go over the limit. Also, I have had better luck with curbside check in, I have had 57# bags go through without an extra charge that way.

None. Get a 4 ball box from your pro shop with 4 single boxes to put your stuff in. Ship them, and use your bowling bags as your luggage. Unpack balls in hotel room and unpack your clothes in the room. Pack your bowling stuff in the bag, go bowl. Don't ship shoes. Keep those with you. Buying a new ball at nationals is much easier than shoes.

I have 2 vise 3 ball bags that have held up for 3 years with 2 to 3 flights a year with the only problem being the zipper strap broke but the zippers still work fine.
